A Survey And Research On The Characteristics And Influencing Factors Of Employment Outlook Of Sports Professional Master’s Students

In recent years,the employment situation of master’s degree candidates majoring in sports is grim,and the pressure of employment competition is high.The employment of graduate students has become a hot topic of social concern.Strengthening the research on employment related issues of master’s degree candidates majoring in sports can help alleviate the severe employment situation and alleviate employment pressure.There has been a lot of discussion on employment issues in existing research,but the research on the employment outlook of sports major master’s degree graduates is not sufficient.The employment concept has an important impact on the employment of sports professional master’s degree graduates,reflecting deep-seated issues such as why to obtain employment,what industry to pursue,and how to obtain employment.Exploring the characteristics and cultivation methods of the employment outlook of sports major graduate students can provide reference suggestions for career planning and employment guidance for sports major graduate students.This study conducted a survey and research on the employment outlook of sports major graduate students through questionnaires and interviews.The objects of the questionnaire survey and interview are master’s degree students majoring in sports from the 2020,2021,and 2022 levels of Capital Institute of Physical Education,Beijing Sport University,Shanghai Institute of Physical Education,Wuhan Institute of Physical Education,Harbin Institute of Physical Education,Tianjin Institute of Physical Education,Anhui Normal University,and Fuyang Normal University.Among them,a total of 300 respondents were surveyed in the questionnaire,using the "Questionnaire on the Employment Outlook of Postgraduates majoring in Sports".The employment outlook includes five dimensions,namely,the understanding of the employment situation and policies,the understanding of entrepreneurship,the characteristics of employment goal planning,the characteristics of employment value orientation,and the characteristics of employment ethics;Based on the characteristics of employment outlook,this paper investigates the influencing factors and cultivation strategies for the formation of employment outlook.The total number of interviewees is 15,and the interview content mainly includes three aspects: employment expectation,employment evaluation,and employment cognition.Based on the above research,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Postgraduate students majoring in sports can recognize the seriousness of the employment situation and the importance of employment policies,but their understanding of the content,direction,and changes of employment policies is very low.(2)Most master’s students majoring in sports believe that independent entrepreneurship can bring good social benefits and have good entrepreneurial prospects.However,they generally believe that their own conditions are immature and the entrepreneurial risks are too high,showing a low entrepreneurial willingness.According to the data reflected in the survey questionnaire,there are fewer students with obvious entrepreneurial intentions.(3)Most master’s students majoring in sports can recognize the significance of employment goal planning and have conducted preliminary employment goal planning,but further guidance is still needed.(4)The employment value orientation of master’s degree students majoring in sports tends to balance the coexistence of personal survival value and social development value,but in the short term,personal survival value occupies the primary position.(5)There are still one-sided and insufficient understanding of employment ethics standards among master’s students majoring in sports,reflecting the weak education of employment ethics standards.(6)The influencing factors on the employment outlook of master’s degree students majoring in sports are the words and deeds of their elders,social practice activities,the influence of friends and classmates,national employment policies and employment situation,and graduate professional education;Most of the students said that they needed guidance from the concept of employment.When they encountered employment difficulties,they mainly sought help from tutors,classmates,friends and elders.The forms of education of the concept of employment that they would prefer to accept mainly included integrating ideological and political education into professional courses and employment education,postgraduate employment practice activities,and dissemination through new media such as Tiktok,Weibo,and video numbers.In view of the employment problems of sports professional master’s graduates,the following suggestions are proposed:Strengthen the cultivation of students’ employability,organize more internship activities,improve students’ practical skills,and accumulate work experience.Encourage independent entrepreneurial practices and assume social responsibility.Emphasize the cultivation of career planning ability and improve the level of policy promotion.Strengthen the education of students’ employment ethics through various ways,establish the awareness of students’ honest participation in job competition,improve the level of students’ employment ethics,and ensure fair competition.
