The requirements of "Healthy China 2030" and the medical care issues during the outbreak of the "New Crown Epidemic" have put forward new requirements for the training of medical and health professionals in China.Higher vocational medical schools not only undertake the task of cultivating medical and health talents,but are also the main force of vocational education.How to improve the willingness of higher vocational medical students to practice medicine and alleviate the lack of new health talents is an important topic for higher vocational medical schools.This research focuses on the impact of the talent training model of integration of production and education in higher vocational medical colleges on students’ career choices.Using random sampling,1652 students from 5 professional groups from 4 public higher vocational medical colleges directly under the Jiangsu Health Commission are selected as the Research object.Use questionnaires to conduct surveys and research.Sixteen teachers from 4 higher vocational medical colleges were selected to conduct investigation and research by interview.Select the employer survey in the survey report on the employment situation of the 2018 graduates in Jiangsu Province for supplementary research.The current situation and overall characteristics of the talent training model for the integration of production and education in higher vocational medical colleges are investigated and studied,as well as the current situation and overall characteristics of students’ career choice intentions.And further explored the relationship between the two.After the data was analyzed by SPSS 22.0 software for descriptive statistics,some meaningful research conclusions were obtained.The results show that:(1)the feedback evaluation of students on the production and education integrated talent training mode is at a high critical level,but there is still room for improvement.(2)Students’ willingness to choose a career related to their major is low,which is lower than the national average level of medicine and health,but higher than other majors’willingness to choose a career related to their major.(3)Students’ feedback on the industryteaching-integrated talent training mode of the school can positively predict students’willingness to choose a career.The higher the feedback on the industry-teaching-integrated talent training mode of the school is,the more students will choose a profession related to their major.(4)Practice teaching,curriculum setting,skill competition and teaching participation are the main factors influencing students’ career choice intention in the industryeducation integrated talent training model.This study verifies that students’ ability to cultivate talents in the school’s integration of production and education can positively predict students’ willingness to choose careers,and provides empirical evidence for the strategic path to improve the professional counterpart rate of higher vocational medical students.In response to the current outstanding problems in the training of talents for the integration of production and education in higher vocational medical colleges,suggestions for rectification and reform are proposed.Future research can expand the sample size and sampling scope,adopt the design of tracking research,and increase the related research on career choice willingness and career choice behavior,and further enrich the research results of the professional choice willingness of higher vocational medical students and the cultivation of talents integrating production and education,and make students think To be a doctor.
