In recent years,the whole society has an increasing demand for social work talents,and has formed a professional talent training goal of "focusing on specialization and occupation,establishing and improving the common development of education at different educational levels,and organically combining professional training and knowledge popularization",with increasingly high expectations and requirements for the profession.Master’s thesis writing is not only the process of talent training,but also the inspection of the results of talent training.It is the dual embodiment of the academic level of graduate students and the training level of colleges and universities.As the first person in charge of their dissertation,some graduate students say that they will encounter many difficulties in the writing process.If these difficulties cannot be solved in time,it will not only affect the quality of their thesis,but also affect their physical and mental health.This study is conducted under the guidance of qualitative research paradigm.Fifteen master’s and graduate students of social work major in S University are taken as research objects.Through in-depth interviews,data are collected to understand the difficulties encountered by master’s students of social work major in the process of dissertation writing,and the causes of the difficulties are analyzed as well as the changes in the process of dissertation writing.And try to put forward practical suggestions from the perspective of social work.Through interviews,it is found that postgraduate students in social work will encounter difficulties in the process of dissertation writing,such as putting more emphasis on practice than on academics,ethical dilemmas in data collection and processing,low efficiency of paper revision,imbalance of physical and mental state,and excessive fear of external review system.These difficulties can lead to anxiety,procrastination and even affect the physical health of social work master students.In the face of these difficulties,try to solve the problem based on individual strength through the social support network of each subject.In this process,social work master students clearly find that their self-ability has been greatly improved,their physical and mental state has been optimized and adjusted,their academic ability has been comprehensively improved,and their multitasking ability has been optimized.Based on the above analysis,the author believes that suggestions can be put forward from three aspects:training program design,professional practice adjustment and personal ability cultivation.First of all,the school social work professional talent training program guides the direction of postgraduate professional papers from a macro perspective.Schools should optimize and adjust curriculum design,training objectives,dissertation writing time and dissertation standards.Secondly,professional practice is the core competitiveness of students majoring in social work,which can provide fertile soil for thesis writing.It is necessary to make efforts with multiple subjects,and the departments,internship units,supervisors,students and other communities have clear responsibilities and share the mission.Finally,as the main body of academic paper writing and the exporter of academic achievements,social work master students should pay attention to cultivating their problem awareness and active thinking ability in daily study and life,actively participate in various academic activities,and improve their resilience and comprehensive ability in multiple ways.
