| With the education reform continued to advance,the development of novice teachers,which is an important part of teaching career has attracted more and more attention.Novice teachers of primary school are a significant component of fundamental teaching force.The degree of its specialization has direct impact on the quality of entire teachers.The professional development of primary school novice teachers can not simply be realized by teacher’s individual effort or the process of natural maturity.It counts on the wisdom of teacher group which solves the problems of initial stage and underlines that teachers should enhance cooperation and share experience in order to help them make the transition from "survival" to "maturity" come true.Operating the practice of community theory can effectively improve the growth of primary school novice teachers and plays an active role in promoting both the renewal of educational concepts and professional development.This study takes first-line novice teachers of Y primary school in southern Jiangsu province as the survey object,adopting observational method,interviewing method and other research methods.It aims to objectively know the status of professional development community of primary school novice teachers through theory and practice,and understand their growth stage in the community,so as to promote them to fully recognize the rule of professional development,actively take part in it and provide relevant suggestions about promoting the professional development of novice teachers to schools and education authorities.After observation and analysis,the practice community of Y Primary School novice teachers presents the following three states:the practice community based on educational research group,on study classes,and on online platforms.In view of teaching practice and research reflection,and inspired by Wenger’s three characteristics of the practice community,this study found that novice primary school teachers need to go through the following three stages to obtain professional development in the practice community:wandering the edge,entering the community and integrating into the community.The research shows that shared values and goals,support and cooperation among colleagues,collaborative activities and practices,continuous improvement and support,and perfect systems and policies have impacts on the professional development of novice primary school teachers.Only when novice primary school teachers are fully aware of their own development needs,make effective use of the opportunity of "Legitimate Peripheral Participation",form identity in practie while taking full advantage of external support can they effectively play the role of the practice community in promoting their own professional development,so as to improve the development of professional ability.Schools can provide necessary supporting conditions for novice teachers in the following three ways:building a diversified learning platform and creating shared knowledge resources;building a supportive platform and creating an environment for development;improving the multi-dimensional teacher evaluation system and stimulating the enthusiasm of novice teachers.Education authorities should construct regional teaching and research communities from the following four aspects:laying emphasis on the construction of common vision,focusing on training novice teachers,accelerating online teaching and research,and establishing and improving institutional guarantees.At the same time,they should optimize the operation of all kinds of teaching and research communities,constantly improve the effectiveness of the community,and achieve a high level of professional development of teachers. |
