In recent years, the health education of young children has received more and more attention from the state and society, and the entry point of related research has been refined from the direction of physical health of young children to the field of motor development of young children. The gross motor skills of young children refer to the participation and completion of large muscle groups such as trunk and limbs, which is an important part of the basic motor development of young children.3-6 years old is a critical and sensitive period for the development of young children’s gross motor skills, which is closely related to the development of young children’s emotion, personality, intelligence, socialization and other aspects.Studies have shown that scientific and reasonable sports in early childhood can effectively improve the development of gross motor development,i.e.body displacement ability, object manipulation ability and body stability ability, which can lay a solid foundation for the good development of physical quality and better acquisition of motor skills in the future. The cheerleading exercises meet the physiological and psychological needs of young children at the same time, and the movements are fun, safe, standardized and scientific, and the exercise forms are rich and diversified, and the music is rhythmic, rhythmic and contemporary, which also has a good promotion effect on the overall development of their physical quality.Based on this, the study used literature, interview, experimental, mathematical and statistical methods and comparative analysis to select two middle classes of 4-5-year-old children in a public kindergarten in Suzhou as the experimental class and the control class, and the experimental class was subjected to a 16-week cheerleading seven-color star intervention. The purpose of this study is to promote the physical development of children,to enrich the theories about children’s gross motor development, and to provide reference for the promotion of the cheerleading star in kindergartens.Research results.(1)After the 16-week cheerleading’s seven’ colorful stars intervention, the total scores of gross movements, displacement movements, manipulation movements and stability movements of the children in the experimental class were very significantly different before and after the experiment(P<0.01).The scores of running, front sliding step, side sliding step,one-legged jump, pad jump, standing long jump,one-handed in-situ ball tapping, foot kicking fixed ball, shoulder throwing,one-handed clap hitting rebounding ball,one-legged balance, lateral rolling and ascent jumping were very significantly different(P<0.01).(2)After 16 weeks of traditional kindergarten activity course, the total scores of gross movements, displacement movements and manipulation movements of children in the control class were significantly different before and after the experiment(P<0.01),and the total scores of stabilization movements were significantly different(P<0.05).The scores of over-the-shoulder throwing and lateral rolling movements were significantly different(P<0.05).(3)After 16 weeks of experimental intervention, compared with the control class, the experimental class showed highly significant differences(P<0.01)in the total scores of gross movements, displacement movements, manipulation movements and stability movements, and highly significant differences(P<0.01)in the scores of running, front sliding step, side sliding step, standing long jump,one-handed in-situ slap ball, shoulder throw,one-legged balance, lateral rolling and ascent and jump movements, and in the scores of(P<0.05)in one-legged jump, pad jump, foot kicking fixed ball, and one-handed clap hitting rebounding ball.(4)After 16 weeks of experimental intervention, the total scores of displacement movements, stability movements and gross movements of male and female children in the experimental class were very significantly different(P<0.01),but the total scores of manipulation movements were not significantly different(P>0.05).There was a significant difference in the scores of front slide, standing long jump and one-handed clap hitting rebound ball(P<0.01),and a significant difference in the scores of one-legged jump, step jump and lateral rolling(P<0.05);there was no significant difference between male and female children in the control class after the experiment(P>0.05).(5)After 16 weeks of experimental intervention, the total scores of gross movements, displacement movements, manipulation movements and stability movements of male children in the experimental class were very significantly different before and after the experiment(P<0.01),and the same for female children in the experimental class before and after the experiment(P<0.01);the total scores of gross movements of male children in the control class were very significantly different before and after the experiment(P<0.01),and the total scores of displacement movements, manipulation movements and stability movements of male children in the control class were very significantly different before and after the experiment(P<0.01).The total scores of gross movements, total scores of manipulative movements and total scores of stable movements in the control class showed significant differences(P<0.05),while the total scores of gross movements and total scores of manipulative movements in the control class showed significant differences(P<0.01),total scores of manipulative movements showed significant differences(P<0.05)and total scores of stable movements showed no significant differences(P>0.05).(6)After the 16 weeks of experimental intervention, the total scores of gross motor, displacement and stabilization movements were very significantly different(P<0.01)and the total scores of manipulation movements were significantly different(P<0.05)compared with those of the male children in the control class;compared with those of the female children in the control class, the total scores of gross motor, displacement, manipulation and stabilization movements were very significantly different.Compared with the control class, the total scores of gross movements, displacement movements, manipulation movements and stability movements of female children in the experimental class were all very significantly different(P<0.01).Research conclusion:(1)After 16 weeks of the cheerleading’s seven colorful stars intervention, the body displacement ability, object manipulation ability and body stability ability of the children in the experimental class were effectively improved,i.e.,the 16-week cheerleading seven-color star practice had a facilitating effect on the gross motor development level of 4-5-year-old children.(2)After 16 weeks of traditional kindergarten activities, children in the control class also improved their body displacement ability, object manipulation ability and body stability ability to different degrees, mainly in the development of shoulder throwing and lateral rolling movements.(3)After the 16-week experimental intervention, the level of gross motor development of the children in the experimental class with the cheerleading star program was significantly better than that of the children in the control class with the traditional kindergarten activity program;the gross motor development of the children in the control class was improved to a certain extent, but the overall improvement effect was not as obvious as that of the children in the experimental class.(4)After the 16-week experimental intervention, female children in the experimental class had better body displacement ability and body stability ability than male children in the same class,i.e.,the level of gross motor development of female children in the experimental class was better than that of male children in the same class after the experiment;the difference between the level of gross motor development of male and female children in the control class was smaller and the effect was comparable;the improvement of gross motor development of male and female children in the experimental class was significantly better than that of male and female children in the control class.
