The object of this paper is the business plan design of Institution F which was designed on basis of the Lean Startup theory.As one of the institutions in Education and Training industry,its startup would provide reference.The Lean Startup methodology runs through the whole process of the business plan design of Institution F and also the value of Lean Startup mindset is reflected at all times in the whole design process.This article will introduce the Lean Startup concept,the Lean Startup Logical Framework,the related theories and models on which the business plan design of Institution F bases,the distinguishments on the concept of "entrepreneurship" between the East and the West,the theoretical basis of the Institution F business plan design with the rationale of PEST and SWOT,and the main body of paper is to analyze how Institution F designs the business plan through the Lean Startup Methodology,this part will include four aspects originated from the Five Principles of the Lean Startup,which is also known as the Lean Startup Methodology,Part 1 demonstrate Five Principles of Lean Startup One-Entrepreneurs are everywhere,which is embodied as Step 1 of business plan design of Institution F,Institution F is full of "entrepreneur staff" who are able to witness and monitor strategy.Everybody is able to devote the rules of strategy management like cautious strategy,the clear position,and clear direction.Once all entrepreneurs participate the process through SWOT,PEST and other methods,everybody makes alignment on strategy and should insist even the great challenges will face.Part 2 is the Five Principles of Lean Entrepreneurship 2-Entrepreneurship is management,which is reflected as Step 2 of F institution’s Startup,that is,Institution F should establish a unique management in internal resources cautiously,therefore the business plan design of Institution F try a Patchwork-style,approach,in fact the execution proves that this method is very effective.Part 3 is Principles 3 and 4 of the Lean Startup Five Principles-Proven Cognition and "Build-Measure-Learn",The third part is Principle 3 and Principle 4 of the Five Lean Startup Principles-Proven Cognition and "Build-Measure-Learn".These two principles are unified into product design principles in the business plan design of Institution F.Institution F provides to the Education and Training service to market,the quality of service not only determines whether the institution can survive but also maintains the sustainable development.Therefore,it is necessary to quickly provide new services and products to the market.Most importantly after entering the market,institution obtain a touch point to detect the acceptability of the product,in another words,to seek customers for the Perfect Sense of Product,which called as Validated Cognition.Simultaneously,the implementation process is also identified as market interaction.During the process,it is exposed to the feedback of the frontier market,and then the valuable customer feedback is applied to improve the existing service products,which is very consistent with Principle4 of "Build-Measure-Learn",rapid trial and error,rapid improvement,and rapid response to the market.The Part 4 demonstrates Principle 5 of the Five Principles of Lean Startup– Innovation Accounting.Institution F has classified this principle as Part 4 in its business plan design.Institution F has innovated its own accounting system to determine the priority of strategic objectives,e.g.,its financial system is not a simple leger calculation.To achieve strategical objectives,Institution F evaluates the products by the market performance as one of elements etc.Therefore,it is also based on multi-dimensional measurements.Although financial indicators are still one of the important indicators,it is not numerical elements formulate the strategic implementation plan of F institution,which causes the products are carefully reserved,besides,the innovative accounting system also provides a powerful method for Institution F in risk management.In general,Institution F adopts the business plan design principle of "No swaying on strategy,Less Waste of Resources,No Hesitation to Market" in the entire business plan design by using of the Lean Startup Methodology. |
