| The MBTI is a personality type test scale,and the MBTI Internet related group is a group of people who gather in cyberspace around the MBTI and the theoretical system behind it.In recent years,MBTI has been spreading from Europe and America to Japan and Korea,and has gradually developed as a youth subculture.Nowadays,MBTI has also shifted from a personality type test scale in the workplace to a fun issue in China with the help of social media,and has gradually entered the public eye with a new image.By analyzing this new subculture,this study attempts to explore the different behaviors and more complex motives of this group than those of previous fun groups,in an attempt to further understand the state of mind of young people in today’s society and provide them with care and guidance.This study uses in-depth interviews and online participatory observation to explore the phenomenon of MBTI Internet related culture transmission;to sort out and analyze the interactive behaviors of this Internet related group;to summarize and interpret the motives of interactive behaviors of MBTI Internet related group through rooted analysis of interview data;and to explain how the MBTI Internet related group constructs its identity by using the Spectacle-Performance paradigm;Finally,through a deeper understanding of this group and further consideration of their interactive behaviors,we explore the positive meanings and possible negative effects that distinguish them from other interest groups.The study finds that the formation of MBTI Internet related group is closely related to the high-risk social environment,On different platforms and according to the mechanism of the platform,the spread of MBTI Internet related groups also shows different characteristics.which presents the structural characteristics of coexistence of center and decentralization within it.The acquisition of knowledge,communication and creation are the main interactive behaviors of the MBTI Internet related group.On the one hand,group members seek to actively contact MBTI and participate in its interactive behaviors out of cognition,achievement,interest application and online support;on the other hand,they constantly adjust their social styles and identity psychology through the intermediary of MBTI out of the real demand of socialization.At the same time,there is also an interactive relationship between the identity demands of MBTI Internet related group and their exhibition behaviors.Driven by the motivation of identity,group members strengthen their own identity through the display of attributes and the evaluation of others;and construct group identity through the linguistic field,the production of modalities and the ritualized resistance to other groups.In addition,the social support function of this group for depressed patients and the inclusiveness of sexual minorities gradually emerged during the gradual exploration and in-depth understanding of this group.At the same time,MBTI serves as a guide for the youth group to direct the direction of ideal personality and help this group grow further.However,the improper application of MBTI has also formed a stigmatization chain within the group and contributed to the formation of group prejudice. |
