| Accelerating the construction of "first-class universities" and "first-class disciplines" and realizing the internal development of higher education is the new mission of higher education development in the new era.Cultivating talents is the eternal theme of universities,and only universities that cultivate first-class talents can become world class universities.Our colleges and universities with industrial characteristics occupy a very important position in our higher education system by virtue of their distinctive schooling characteristics and outstanding achievements in cultivating talents.For colleges and universities with industrial characteristics,the fundamental driving force for the connotative development of colleges and universities with industrial characteristics is to carry out innovative talents cultivation work facing the development prospect and realistic needs of the industry.Therefore,exploring the mechanism and path of cultivating innovative talents in colleges and universities with industrial characteristics can help improve the quality of cultivating innovative talents in colleges and universities with industrial characteristics and promote the construction of "double first-class" in colleges and universities with industrial characteristics.In this context,this paper firstly compares the existing literature and defines the concepts of "colleges and universities with industrial characteristics","innovative talents in colleges and universities with industrial characteristics" and "innovative talents cultivation",and discusses the guiding roles of human capital theory,comprehensive human development theory and social learning theory in this paper.Secondly,taking higher agricultural colleges and universities in China as an example,this paper analyzed and discussed the current characteristics of innovative talents cultivation in colleges and universities with agricultural industry characteristics in terms of talent cultivation goal,innovative curriculum system,faculty members,innovative practical training and campus culture construction,and pointed out that there are still problems in China’s higher agricultural colleges and universities,such as the lack of accurate positioning of talent cultivation objectives,unreasonable setting of some majors and courses,the need to optimize the innovation level of faculty,the imperfect construction of practical practice platform,and the need to strengthen the role of campus culture in educating people.Thirdly,this paper analyzed and summarized the successful experiences of three foreign top universities-Wageningen University,Cornell University and University of California,Davis-in the cultivation of innovative talents,and came to the conclusion that the cultivation of innovative talents needs to be oriented to the development of the industry and formulate the goals of talent cultivation;to improve the innovation education system and enhance the quality of education;to strengthen international exchanges and enhance the international competitiveness of talents;and to build campus culture and stimulate campus innovation.Fourthly,based on the perspective of social learning theory,this paper selects“school innovation support” and “college students’ diversity experience” as the influencing factors of innovative talents cultivation in colleges and universities with industrial characteristics,and empirically analyzes the influence mechanisms of external environmental factors and individual cognitive factors on individual innovation behaviors.Finally,the optimization path of innovative talents cultivation in colleges and universities with industrial characteristics is proposed.The main recommendations for the cultivation of innovative talents in universities with industrial characteristics are based on eight aspects: "talent training objectives","discipline and professional structure","curriculum system","practical education","faculty team","international exchange and cooperation","campus culture" and "student participation". |
