Lead-Obey-Reform:Space Discipline In The Live Study Room

Study Live-stream has become a new form of learning and life for young people in the post-epidemic era,which not only reflects the changes in people’s learning locations and learning habits in the new era,but also reflects their practice of actively expanding their living space.Bilibili is the main platform for young people in China to conduct live learning,so this paper selects the live study room of Bilibili as the research object,and uses participatory observation and in-depth interviews to investigate the participants of study live-stream.From the perspective of space discipline,we explore how discipline is generated and what characteristics it has in the new space of live study room.The study found that space,as a physical objective existence,in the process of expansion,under the joint influence of capital,platform and network anchor,has produced new discipline methods,that is,the disciplinary power shows a diffuse development in the mutual game between capital and the subject,so that the anchor accepts multiple constraints from participants,platforms and policies.The discipline generated by this new space for network anchors shows a trend of "domination,obedience,and transformation".
