Research On The Guiding Effect Of Marxism On The Spiritual Growth Of College Students In The New Era

Spiritual growth is a development process in which the spiritual dimension of human beings is constantly enhanced.As an important force for social development,whether or not university students of the new era take the initiative in transforming their subjective world is related to the realisation of their personal all-round development,as well as the ultimate realisation of the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.And guiding spiritual growth is never a brute force in isolation from scientific theories;one must effectively master Marxist theory.Although effective results have been achieved in guiding the spiritual growth of Chinese university students,Marxism does not stop there,it is a permanent issue.More and more scholars are exploring spiritual growth from the perspective of ideological and political education,while fewer scholars are exploring it in depth from the perspective of Marxism.This study takes Marxism as the theoretical basis,the guiding role of Marxism as a breakthrough,the "problem-solving process" as a manifestation of spiritual growth,and attempts to unravel the ideological logic of the guiding role of Marxism on the spiritual growth of university students,using documentary research and qualitative and quantitative research methods to carry out the study.Socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era,and the Party and the State have put forward new requirements for the spiritual growth of contemporary university students.This study discusses the question of how Marxism can guide the spiritual growth of contemporary university students from the perspectives of indicating the correct direction,adding scientific connotations and providing scientific methods,and argues for its necessity.At the same time,the study focuses on Marxism’s ontology,materialistic dialectic,practical outlook,epistemology,mass-historical outlook,Marxist political economy and the theory of scientific congress to clarify the rationale of "how to guide" and provide scientific guidance for the spiritual growth of university students.Through cross-analysis and descriptive analysis of the valid questionnaires and in-depth interviews,we have discovered the real-life problems in five aspects: worldview,cognitive ability,emotional world,quality of will and ideal beliefs.The four aspects of attribution were also analysed in terms of the weak ability to consciously apply Marxist theory,the negative influence of market economy and social trends,the negative influence of Internet information and the blurred self-identity of university students.Accordingly,the practical paths of running good ideological and political theory courses to consolidate the theoretical foundation for spiritual growth,building a strong Marxist education team to establish the foundation of talents with firm ideals and beliefs,strengthening Marxist network propaganda and education to guard the ideological ground for shaping values,and strengthening Marxist social practice education to promote practical training for spiritual growth are proposed.The aim is to enable university students to grasp the Marxist way of thinking and know how to use it,so as to promote their healthy spiritual growth.
