People’s spiritual and cultural life reflects the quality of spiritual life,the level of soul life,the state of psychological life,the taste of cultural life,the degree of belief in life,and the defects of ethical life,which affects the possibility of individual sustainable development and all-round development.Undergraduate students are the future of the society and the hope of the nation.Whether they can establish ideals and beliefs,strengthen Marxist beliefs,improve ideological and moral quality and rational value cultivation affect individual’s modernization and all-round development,social stability and modernization.It is of great theoretical value and practical significance to analyze the overall situation and value identity,and to effectively grasp and judge which factors affect the change and development,and to take this as an opportunity to explore the path to guide the spiritual and cultural life of undergraduate students in the new era.Through the statistics of 1005 valid questionnaires,generally speaking,the spiritual and cultural life of undergraduate students in the new era is relatively healthy,but there are also some problems,which can be summed up as harmony,development and promotion.Further data analysis shows that the spiritual and cultural life of undergraduate students in the new era is mainly influenced by modern science and technology,consumerism,western culture,higher education,peer groups,family environment and growth experience,etc.To some extent,this has affected the healthy development of undergraduate students’ spiritual and cultural life in the new era.Material and cultural life and spiritual and cultural life are the two basic forms of human social life.Spiritual and cultural life shows the significance and value of individual survival,and has the functions of guidance,encouragement and education,standardization and restraint.Core values are the spiritual ties maintained by the core of a nation and thecommon ideological and moral basis of a country.Therefore,the value guidance of undergraduate students’ spiritual and cultural life in the new era should be implemented at the level of socialist core values.On the one hand,the guidance of undergraduate students’ spiritual and cultural life in the new era can meet undergraduate students’ yearning for a better life,promote mentally healthy adults,and thus promote undergraduate students to move forward in the direction of all-round development.On the other hand,the use of conventional,special and joint guidance methods is a reference to other disciplines(psychology,management),which is conducive to enrich the methods of ideological and political education and increase the effectiveness of ideological and political education.At the same time,we can strengthen the understanding of Xi Jinping’s thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era,so as to make him go deep into his heart,and grasp,anchor-hold and cling tightly to the group of college students in the new era,who is a participant in socialist construction.In short,society is composed of countless individuals,and the progress of individuals can promote the progress and development of society.The guidance to the spiritual and cultural life of undergraduate students in the new era not only has played a role in promoting the development of individual physical and mental health of undergraduate students,but also it can contribute to the development of social progress and provide a driving fouce.
