Chinese Curriculum Standards in Ordinary High School (test) stipulates that Chinese is the most important tool for communication and the important component of mankind’s culture. The integration of instrumentality and humanity is the fundamental characteristic of Chinese curriculum. Therefore, Chinese teaching and learning in high school should insist the integration of instrumentality and humanity. We should not only focus on the practical value and efficiency of Chinese course, but also bring its cultural and educational functions into full play in helping the students get the edification and influence in thoughts and feelings through the process of learning Chinese. Meanwhile, the students’thoughts will be sublimated unspectacularly and they will also form rich emotional attitudes and values, based on which the students will grow up healthily.Nowadays, informationization is the main trend of social development and world economy. Information technology (IT) based on network and multimedia has become an indispensable tool for people’s work and life in this information society.This thesis focuses on exploring how we should use the Chinese teaching to promote the students’spiritual growth with the assistance of IT. This thesis finds out the factors that can promote the students’ spiritual growth from the advantages of the Chinese course itself. Then with the help of IT and the integration of curriculum, these factors would become amiable and sensible when they affect the students, which corresponds to the students’age and psychology and is easy for students to accept. In this case, the students can increase their knowledge and strengthen their spirit at the same time.In doing the research, the author mainly uses action research, documentary research and experience summary. In the process of Chinese teaching, we should seize the opportunity to promote the students’ spirit with the assistance of IT. The author consults the literatures, enriches her own theories and summarizes the experience in the teaching practice in time.In this thesis, the author makes some valuable exploration on the advantages provided by these certain aspects such as the assistance of multimedia to Chinese teaching, the students’after-class reading in network, the design of practical activity for Chinese course, etc. to the students’spiritual growth. Besides, the author has found some effective approaches and concluded some teaching laws. The author attaches much importance to the meaning of the application to the Information Technology in Chinese teaching.
