Autism is a pervasive developmental disorder caused by a neurological disorder, the cause of which has yet to be discovered,as well as the techniques to cure it.At present, the number of children with autism in China is large and the number of sufferers is increasing year by year.Caregivers of children with autism,as the primary caregivers of the children, face severe psychological stress and their psychological stress is not effectively relieved, which can affect the rehabilitation of children with autism. However, the current focus of the state and society is often on the autistic child, neglecting the autistic child’s caregivers and lacking care and assistance for the autistic child’s caregivers. Therefore, effectively alleviating the psychological stress of carers of autistic children is of great social value. This paper takes the caregivers of children with autism in C autism rehabilitation training institutions in Y City as the research object, based on social support theory and advantage perspective theory, through non-participatory observation method, questionnaire survey method and interview method to evaluate autism The psychological pressure of the caregivers of children with schizophrenia is analyzed for basic situation analysis, difficulty and needs analysis, and social support analysis. The survey found that the current stress status of caregivers of autistic children mainly includes greater psychological pressure, prone to negative emotions, and influences on real life;the sources of psychological stress mainly include economic pressure, relationship disorders, future worries, and external reasons.Social discrimination, lack of services, educational pressures. In the practical intervention phase, eight autistic child caregivers with high psychological stress were selected as group members, and the reciprocal group intervention was used to alleviate psychological stress, enhance personal competence, and improve social support during the intervention process.During the service, the caregivers were guided to interact with each other in a step-by-step manner to enhance their emotional, informational, and instrumental support, and the intervention was evaluated using both process and outcome assessments.A pre-test and a post-test of group members’ psychological stress were conducted using the Difficulties and Needs Questionnaire, and comparative data showed a significant reduction in group members’ psychological stress, demonstrating that the reciprocal group was beneficial in alleviating the psychological stress of caregivers of children with autism. Finally, the author summarizes and reflects on the study, and proposes suggestions to alleviate the psychological stress of caregivers of children with autism from the government level, rehabilitation institution level, caregiver level, and social worker level,in the hope of providing more appropriate psychological stress reduction services for them.
