| In the late 1990 s,With the reform and adjustment of the State Council,a number of industry universities managed by the former ministries and commissions were placed under the Ministry of Education,while a large number of universities were transferred to local management.Most of these universities are called industry-transferred universities.In the process of transformation and adjustment of some industry-transferred universities,the service orientation has changed due to the change of management system,and there are some phenomena,such as fuzzy educational orientation,weakened characteristics and loss of advantages.In recent years,With the national policy emphasizing “characterized” and “high-level” education,and the transformation and upgrading of the industrial structure,the demand of technical services and talent support in various industries has increased.Based on its traditional industry advantages,the industry-transferred universities begin to do characteristic regression and “re-industrialization”.this study takes a typical industry-transferred university in Wuhan as a case to analyze the formation,change and adjustment process of the industry-running characteristics of such a typical industry-transferred university.It is vividly shown that the process is “forming-diluting-recreating”.Under the dual effects of external environmental influence and internal“adaptation” to the external environment,the case university have carried out a series of measures in recent years around the reconstruction of school-running characteristics.The paper will study the path and effect of case university’s characteristic reconstruction by focusing on the four aspects of discipline construction,scientific research,talent training,and social service.The study found that the case university’s path of reconstruction of school-running characteristics mainly includes: implementing the “big chemical industry”discipline development strategy;emphasizing the scientific research orientation of achievement transformation;implementing a diversified talent training model;and developing social services based on regions and industries.The reconstruction of school-running characteristics around the “chemical characteristics” has achieved initial results,but there are still problems such as low level,non-specific characteristics,lack of iconicity and display degree in the above four aspects.Based on the analysis of the formation,change and recreating process of the school-running characteristics of the case university,this study puts forward corresponding improvement suggestions for the case university,and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for the reconstruction of the school-running characteristics of the industry-transferred universities from the school level and policy level. |
