Orienteering as a sport of science and technology that combines fitness,fun and competition,is in line with the development trend of school sports curriculum innovation and is a more effective practical measure to achieve the objectives of the compulsory education school sports curriculum,which can effectively promote the overall development of the body,mind,intellect and energy of young children and improve the overall quality of primary and secondary school students.Compared to the leading orienteering regions in China,the overall development of orienteering in Lanzhou is relatively slow and relatively few schools in the compulsory education stage are teaching and training orienteering.This paper takes the current situation and development path of orienteering in compulsory education schools in Lanzhou as the main research object,through literature,questionnaires,interviews,fieldwork,mathematical and statistical methods,logical analysis and other research methods,to conduct an in-depth investigation and scientific analysis of the current situation and development path of orienteering in compulsory education schools in Lanzhou,to clarify the factors that affect the development of orienteering in compulsory education schools in Lanzhou.This paper is an in-depth investigation and scientific analysis to clarify the various factors affecting the development of orienteering in Lanzhou compulsory education schools,to find a more specific and feasible path for the vigorous development of orienteering in Lanzhou compulsory education schools,to provide reference for schools that have not developed orienteering and those that have not developed it well,and to provide reference for the enrichment and innovation of the school physical education system in Lanzhou.The main conclusions drawn are as follows:1.Lanzhou compulsory education schools to carry out the overall orienteering is still in the initial exploration stage,only about 13% of the city’s schools have introduced orienteering,the popularity rate is low.Education departments,sports authorities,associations and schools need to work together to promote the introduction of supportive policies.2.The compulsory education schools in Lanzhou that carry out orienteering are mainly located in Chengguan District,Lanzhou,accounting for about 90% of the total number of schools that carry out orienteering,mainly in the form of interest classes,clubs and training teams.The proportion of schools is extremely low,and the depth of curriculum learning is not enough.3.The compulsory education schools in Lanzhou,which are well-developed in orienteering,have been able to successfully introduce orienteering and continue to develop for more than 10 years.It is inseparable from the support and guidance of the local education department,and the attention of school leaders.At the same time,it pays more attention to financial security and safety,purchase and equip orienteering professional facilities and equipment,support the training of coaching teachers,support the compilation of school-based teaching materials,and pay for customized teaching professional orienteering maps.4.The factors that restrict the development of orienteering in compulsory schools are policy,organizational guarantee factors,"hardware" factors such as venue equipment,and "software" factors such as teacher team construction and safety guarantee.5.There are five main aspects to the healthy development of orienteering in compulsory education schools in Lanzhou.First,to strengthen the publicity of orienteering to create a strong atmosphere,not only to play the power of professional teams to popularize the concept of orienteering,but also to strengthen the valuable work experience summary and propaganda popularization;second,all parties work together to build a perfect organizational guarantee system;third,establish a perfect school orienteering security guarantee system;fourth,actively explore the preparation of suitable professional teaching materials for orienteering;fifth,actively seek support from all parties to guarantee smooth channels for orienteering competitions.The following recommendations are made in response to the current state of development:1.It is recommended to strengthen the promotion of the concept of orienteering and to form a good social atmosphere.With the help of professional forces,through traditional media,new media and other means,it will be widely promoted to the community and schools,so that more people will understand this sport full of fun and wisdom.2.It is recommended that the typical experiences and practices of schools should be consolidated and summarized to serve as a model.Schools that have already developed orienteering will communicate and exchange their work experience and teaching models among schools to form typical schools and set a benchmark to demonstrate and drive other compulsory education schools to introduce and develop orienteering.3.It is recommended that schools that have not yet carried out orienteering and those that are not doing so well "go out" to learn from advanced experiences.Schools that do not carry out orienteering in depth and systematically,and whose participation in students does not cover a wide range of students should strengthen their studies,strengthen communication and exchanges with Yizhichuan Primary School and Huaqiao Experimental School,which have already opened orienteering courses,learning from experiences and practices to increase the depth and breadth of school orienteering.4.It is recommended that schools that carry out orienteering strengthen the construction organizational leadership and guarantees,teaching curriculum system construction,teacher team system construction,school-based teaching materials research and preparation,benign operation of facilities and equipment,and diversification of teaching and training venues,so as to guarantee innovation in school physical education work and enhancement of students’ physical and intellectual abilities through orienteering.5.It is recommended to strengthen the theoretical research on the promotion of government functional departments,the participation and coordination of social groups,industry associations and other social levels,so as to provide theoretical support for the popularization of orienteering in school sports and even national fitness,and further optimize school sports and promote national fitness.
