With the advancement of the new curriculum reform,great changes have taken place in the concept of education and teaching,and modern education and teaching methods are becoming more and more diversified.The new curriculum standard requires: "innovate and cultivate the learning methods of geography core literacy,make full use of geographic information technology,create an intuitive,real-time and vivid geography teaching environment,and apply landscape image,virtual technology,geographic video and social resources to geography teaching." In senior high school geography teaching,the application of geographical videos has become a common teaching method in senior high school geography class.Geographical video has a good auxiliary effect on senior high school geography teaching.In recent years,as the short videos become more popular and the government pays more attention to the popularization of science,short science videos,a new way to populize science develop very fast,and more and more high-quality short videos of science popularization have emerged.As one of the categories of popular science short video,geographical popular science short video is a new type of geographical video and new curriculum resources.Applying it to geography teaching in senior high school meets the requirements of new curriculum reform and new curriculum standards,and is the need of developing geography teaching resources in senior high school.Using the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey,time observation and experience induction,this paper studies the application of geography science short video in high school geography teaching.The questionnaire survey found that:teachers and students have a high degree of recognition of the application of geography science short video in high school geography teaching,geography science short video has great development and application value in high school geography teaching,but there are still some problems in the application process of geography science short video in high school geography teaching,and the development and application level needs to be improved.In view of the problems found in the survey,in order to improve the development and application level of geography science popularization short video in high school geography teaching,this paper establishes a high school geography teaching geography science popularization short video resource library,provides the application strategies of geography science popularization short video in different classes,in different links of classroom teaching and after class,and provides the corresponding teaching practice cases as a reference,From the two important aspects of school and teachers,this paper puts forward some teaching suggestions.The application strategies in different types of courses are as follows:(1)New teaching class: stimulating interest and breaking through key and difficult points;(2)Review class: active atmosphere,consolidate knowledge;(3)Lectures class: supplement knowledge and train thinking.The application strategies in different links of classroom teaching are as follows:(1)Introduction link: creating situation and setting suspense;(2)Knowledge explanation: help to understand and improve memory;(3)Classroom summary: consolidate new knowledge,emotional sublimation.Suggestions for the school are as follows: Improve the multimedia teaching equipment and timely maintenance;Strengthen the discussion on the short video of geography science popularization by the geography teaching and research group and the lesson preparation group;To train teachers to improve their application ability.Suggestions for teachers are: To improve the basic operation ability of video;Broaden the access to short videos of geography science popularization;Appropriate use of short videos of geographic science popularization;Strengthen communication and cooperation with students.
