Research On Case Design Of High School Geography Practice Activities Based On Local Curriculum Resources

Abstract/Summary:
The Geography Curriculum Standards for General Senior High Schools(2017 Edition,2020 Revision)pointed out that carrying out geographic practice activities is an important means to cultivate students’ geographic practice ability.The development of geographical practice activities is inseparable from the development of practical curriculum resources,and local curriculum resources have a natural sense of intimacy for students.Carrying out geographical practice activities based on local geography curriculum resources is more conducive to students’ understanding of the relationship between people and land in real situations,enhancing students’ geographic practice.This research mainly adopts the methods of questionnaire survey,actual investigation,and case study to study the geographical practice activities based on the curriculum resources of local geography.Through a questionnaire survey,this paper analyzes the current situation of high schools in Liaocheng City in using local curriculum resources to carry out practical geography activities: first,students have insufficient understanding of local geography curriculum resources;second,most students are highly motivated to participate in geographic practice activities;third,school geographic practice activities are insufficiently carried out;fourth,teachers lack relevant curriculum resource development and the training of geographical practice activities;fifthly,the way teachers display local geography curriculum resources is relatively simple;sixth,the development of local geography curriculum resources needs to be strengthened.The following measures are proposed to promote the development of practical geography activities based on local curriculum resources: first,compile a textbook for local geography education to increase students’ knowledge of local geography;second,improve teachers’ curriculum resource development and explore potential curriculum resources;third,using a variety of teaching methods to showcase local curriculum resources from multiple perspectives;fourth,build some geography practice bases and develop a second classroom;fifthly,actively carry out study trips and conduct more local surveys.In addition,through the field investigation of the local geography resources in Liaocheng City,combined with the high school geography curriculum standards,the local curriculum resources suitable for high school students to carry out practical activities are screened out,and three of the typical curriculum resources are used as examples for practical teaching case design.It is expected to provide practical reference for front-line teachers.
