| Teacher professional development is the cornerstone of educational reform and development,and the premise for schools to accomplish high-quality teaching.The professional development of physical education teachers in primary and secondary schools has obvious uniqueness(embodiment)because the body directly participates in the process of education.Therefore,it is particularly urgent and important to develop the professional ability of physical education teachers and comprehensively improve teaching quality of physical education classes through the appropriate paths,methods and means.From the perspective of personal knowledge theory,this study takes physical education teachers of primary and secondary schools in Zhejiang Province as the object of investigation,describes the current situation of professional development,and puts forward corresponding countermeasures for its shortcomings.At the same time,six primary and secondary physical education teachers with senior professional titles in Zhejiang Province were interviewed to learn about their professional growth paths and methods,as well as the relationship between personal knowledge and professional development.Through analysis and research,the following conclusions are drawn:First.The structure of physical education teachers in primary and secondary schools in Zhejiang Province is reasonable,and almost the almost is the young and middle-aged stage.Teachers with a bachelor’s degree or above and a first-or second-level professional title account for the largest proportion,which contribute to a good overall development trend.In terms of gender structure,the proportion of male education teachers takes the main body,and the proportion is obviously imbalanced;in terms of academic qualifications,the proportion of postgraduates is slightly insufficient.Second.The professional development of physical education teachers in primary and secondary schools in Zhejiang Province is generally at an average level,and is at a relatively high level in terms of professional quality development.The development of professional knowledge is in the lower middle level,which is mainly manifested in the lack of mastery of scientific and cultural knowledge and educational subject knowledge.In terms of professional ability,it is at the general level,and the main deficiency lies in the training and development of scientific research ability.Third.There are obvious differences in the overall professional development level of teachers in various regions.According to the level of development,they are:Shaoxing,Hangzhou,Ningbo,Jinhua,Wenzhou,Jiaxing,Zhoushan,Huzhou,Quzhou,Lishui,Taizhou.Fourth.In terms of professional development level,female physical education teachers are better than male physical education teachers,and there are significant differences between the two groups;teachers with high education are higher than those with low education background,and the groups of teachers with junior college,undergraduate and postgraduate degrees exist significant differences on the whole;in the three learning stages,the physical education teachers in primary schools are poor,and there are differences with the physical education teachers in junior high schools and high schools,but there is no difference between the physical education teachers in junior high schools and high schools;teachers in public and private schools have the highest level of professional development,and there are significant differences in the two dimensions of professional knowledge and professional skills.Fifth.The physical education teachers in primary and secondary schools in Zhejiang Province are at a medium level in the development of personal knowledge.The scores of the three dimensions of personal knowledge acquisition,storage,and application all reach the upper-middle level,and the sharing and innovation of personal knowledge only reach the middle level.Sixth.Personal knowledge is highly related to the professional development of physical education teachers.Through the data analysis of the personal knowledge questionnaire and the physical education teacher professional development questionnaire and interviews with expert teachers,it is concluded that the higher and richer the teacher’s personal knowledge,the higher the level of professional development.Therefore,the following suggestions are put forward: First.Strengthen pre-employment professional training and strengthen post-employment education awareness.Second.Strengthen career development planning and establish ideal educational goals.Third.Work together at multiple levels to solve the dilemma of professional development.Fourth.Build a personal knowledge platform to promote professional knowledge sharing.Fifth.Strengthen the mentoring model and reiterate the alliance of equal interaction. |
