In order to promote educational equality and ensure poverty students to be able to complete their studies,the Chinese government has made a series of diverse and compound financial aid policies for poor students from different education stages,which greatly protect poor students’ rights to attend school.Based on the financial aid,in 2013,China’s General Secretary Xi Jinping,put forward another strategy of "targeted poverty alleviation",which emphasizes,to stimulate the internal motivation of poverty groups,material poverty alleviation should be combined with spiritual poverty alleviation.Thus,to get rid of poverty completely needs to help improve the ideological understanding and living skills of poor groups.Although high school poor students have received certain material subsidies,they can be easily affected by some objective and subjective factors,and develop some negative psychological problems such as sense of inferiority,sensitivity,anxiety etc.If these problems are not properly addressed,they will directly affect the development of these students and their initiative and enthusiasm to get rid of poverty.Therefore,paying attention to the mental health problems of high school poor students and helping them get out of "spiritual poverty" is not only conducive to stimulate their awareness of poverty alleviation,but also of great significance for promoting poor students to overcome adversity and achieve success.This study takes poor students from four rural ordinary high schools in Chaoyang District as the research object,and studies the mental health problems,influencing factors and coping strategies of poor high school students from the perspective of spiritual poverty alleviation through literature method,questionnaire survey and interview.It is mainly divided into six parts: First,the research background,research significance,research status at home and abroad,research on spiritual poverty alleviation,research ideas and methods are elaborated.Second,the concept of poor students,mental health and related theoretical basis are summarized.Thirdly,the mental health level of poor students in four rural ordinary high schools in Chaoyang district was investigated.Through questionnaire survey and interview,it was found that some poor students in high schools had significant mental poverty problems.Fourthly,through the basic situation of rural ordinary high school poor students,their willingness to get rid of poverty,psychological dependence on financial aid and other factors,the investigation of high school poor students’ panic tendency,interpersonal anxiety,autistic tendency,guilt consciousness,allergic reaction,health status,academic anxiety,impulsive behavior in eight aspects of psychological problems.Fifth,from the government,school,family,poor students themselves four aspects of poor high school students mental health factors are discussed.Sixth,in view of the influence factors of four aspects from the perspective of spiritual poverty alleviation,put forward the strategies of the ease the psychological problems of poor students,first of all,the relevant government departments should optimize the spirit education mechanism for poverty alleviation,and second,the school through various channels to optimize mental poverty alleviation work,third,the family to create more for mental health education network,finally,poor students individual to consciously improve their own quality.
