In the new era of education,more and more attention is paid to how to educate students to learn.Learning motivation,a non-intellectual factor,has been widely concerned by researchers.At present,some high school students at this stage lack clear learning goals,resulting in insufficient learning motivation.In the existing research,most of the methods and researches on improving the learning motivation of high school students are external motivation for learning.There are few methods and studies to improve the internal motivation of high school students,such as:improving learning motivation,learning efficacy,and will to learn.Therefore,this study combines coaching psychology and psychological counseling to explore new methods to improve the internal learning motivation of high school students.In order to promote the all-round development of high school students.This research mainly consists of two parts:Study 1: Adapting the Learning Motivation Scale for High School Students.Through the preliminary test of the scale for 203 high school students in a middle school in Nanchang,this paper makes an item analysis and exploratory factor analysis on the scale;After excluding the items that do not meet the standard value in the initial test,404 senior high school students were formally tested to test the reliability and validity of the scale.Study 2: This research takes case study method as the main research method and writer selects 1 student whose scores in five dimensions of the scale are all lower than 16 points on the basis of Study 1.She was given three stages and six sessions of coaching psychological counseling.Through interviews with the subject,her parents,teacher,and the test of the pre-teat and post-test data of the scale,the effect of coaching psychological counseling on the learning motivation of high school students was analyzed.The following are the results of the study:(1)The Learning Motivation Scale for High School Students contains five dimensions and 36 items.The internal consistency and reliability of the scale and each dimension are good.The results of confirmatory factor analysis show that the model fits well.(2)After the intervention of coaching psychological counseling,the scores of the five dimensions of the subject’s learning motivation scale increased significantly compared with those before the intervention.(3)The results of the interview analysis of the subject,her parents and the head teacher showed that the subject’s learning motivation,learning efficacy,learning interest,and learning wills were significantly enhanced,and their learning emotions became more positive.Conclusion:(1)The adapted Learning Motivation Scale for high school students meets the requirements of psychological measurement and has good reliability and validity.It can be used as an effective tool for high school students’ learning motivation;(2)The theory of coaching psychology can be well integrated into the psychological counseling model,which is in line with the developmental concept of school mental health at this stage.;(3)The combination of coach psychology theory and psychological counseling model has a positive impact on improving the learning motivation of high school students.
