| Biology textbooks are the basis for schools to carry out compulsory education.The 2012 edition of biology textbooks published by Beijing Normal University adheres to the curriculum standard concept of "facing all students,improving students’ scientific literacy,and advocating classroom inquiry learning".The main problems of this paper are the low rate of exploratory teaching of biology in junior middle school,the insufficient utilization of textbooks,and the lack of scientificity and rigor of teachers relying on textbooks to carry out corresponding exploratory teaching.The study found that there are many versions of biology textbooks for junior high school in my country.The biology textbook used in the junior high school in the city where the author is located was published by Beijing Normal University in 2012.There are not many related studies and it is worthy of in-depth study.This paper mainly adopts literature research method,case analysis method,practice research method and data analysis method.First of all,from the research background,research status,research purpose and significance,research content and method,it expounds the necessity of carrying out inquiry teaching relying on textbooks and determines research ideas.Secondly,from the definition of relevant concepts and educational theory,the important concepts and theories of this research are given.From the aspects of textbook columns,number of columns,activity forms,text forms and question types,this paper analyzes the textbook "Biology",the first volume of the seventh grade of Beijing Normal University.The teaching strategy of exploratory teaching in junior high schools: "Scrutinize the textbooks microscopically to create scenarios,grasp the content macroscopically and ask key questions,and be good at using external forces when exploring cooperation,extend the value of inquiry,exert collective strength,observe and analyze truthfully,and excavate students.The potential of inquiry highlights that students are the main body of inquiry,guides communication and cooperation,promotes the transfer of experience,optimizes the evaluation mechanism,and improves the entire teaching process.” In terms of evaluation,an evaluation form of the inquiry report is designed in combination with relevant research,and a process evaluation of students is carried out in combination with student interviews.In the case part,select four classic column activities in the textbook," Exploring the Environmental Factors Affecting the Distribution of Ratwolves "," Exploring the Water Absorption and Dehydration of Plant Cells "," Release Carbon Dioxide During Seed Germination "," Exploring the Number and Distribution of Plant Stomata " " to display,the text part of the two cases "Exploring the Environmental Factors Affecting the Distribution of Rats" and "Exploring the Water Absorption and Dehydration of Plant Cells" carry out teaching design and teaching reflection from the overview,learner characteristics,learning environment,and teaching process.,from the practical level to reflect the idea of inquiry teaching.After selecting two parallel classes in the city for a half-semester teaching practice,the evaluation form of the inquiry activity report was collected,and the scores were analyzed by pre-test and post-test.Combined with the student interviews at the end of the semester,it was concluded that the experimental class was better than the control class.The ability of scientific inquiry has been improved,the enthusiasm and purpose of inquiry activities,teamwork ability,scientific thinking and expression ability have been developed,and the inquiry attitude,learning method and learning effect have all changed for the better,thus verifying the effectiveness of inquiry teaching based on textbooks.Finally,the results of practice are analyzed,and some suggestions are put forward to carry out exploratory teaching of biology in junior high school based on textbooks: we must correctly understand the importance of carrying out textbook exploratory activities;Individual differences,correctly handle the teacher-student relationship in exploratory teaching;give appropriate guidance to improve the efficiency of students’ communication and cooperation;do a good job in software and hardware teaching,and control the time of inquiry. |
