Hebei Province implemented reform of new college entrance examination in 2021.Students will first choose one subject in history and physics,and then two subjects in politics,geography,chemistry and biology.It is more difficult to formulate a plan which is suitable for one’s own development direction and can exert one’s own advantage in the score of the college entrance examination.For schools,it is also a difficult problem that how to carry out the course selection package in a reasonable way,not only to meet the students’ requirements,but also to promote the overall undergraduate rate and double-base rate,so as to ensure the development of schools.Taking the students of grade 2018 in Jianan Middle School of Handan City as an example,the thesis explores the influence of students’ interests and abilities on their choice of subjects.Firstly,we use Hollander’s vocational interest test to conduct a questionnaire survey,and use R language to make a discriminant analysis on the collected data,and establish a classification model from the perspective of interest to classify students.Secondly,principal component method,principal factor method and maximum likelihood method are used to reduce the dimension of 9 subjects by using the orthogonal rotation of factors with the maximization of variance.A classification model is established from the perspective of ability to classify students.Finally,by comparing the results of the subgroups,this thesis empirically analyzes the impact of factors for instance hobby,ability and values on subject selection of senior high school students.From the social level,it has deepened people’s understanding of the new college entrance examination and the reform of the new college entrance examination,and has promoted the implementation process of the reform of the new college entrance examination;from the schools’ level,it provides reference for the school to reasonably carry out the subject selection package;from the students’ level,it helps students weigh the advantages and disadvantages of choosing subjects under various influencing factors,and gives reasonable suggestions to meet the requirements of students’ development.
