Territorial history teaching in junior high school is closely related to the orientation of middle school history curriculum standards, the requirements of the core literacy of history subjects and the needs of junior high school history teaching, and its teaching status has received more and more attention. The teaching of the history of frontier changes in the Qing Dynasty is an important part of the teaching of the history of frontiers, systematic teaching of the history of frontier changes in the Qing Dynasty in the junior high school history class will help students to grasp the basic historical facts of the frontier changes in the Qing Dynasty, improve the ability of junior high school students to learn the history of frontier changes, and cultivate the concept of time and space and the feelings of family and country. To explore the teaching strategies of the history of frontier changes in the Qing Dynasty in junior high schools,it is necessary to sort out the content of the history of frontier changes in the Qing Dynasty in the junior high school history textbook edited by the Ministry of Education.First, chronologically,it is integrated into two parts: the establishment and management of borders in the early Qing Dynasty and the border crisis and countermeasures in the late Qing Dynasty;then, according to the spatial orientation, the changes of each frontier area are sorted out separately.By integrating the content of the textbooks,it is found that the relevant content in the textbooks fully reflects the requirements of the curriculum standards, but the overall span is large and the distribution is relatively scattered. In order to understand the current situation of the history of frontier changes in the Qing Dynasty in junior high schools, students and teachers of eight middle schools in Shanxi Province were selected as the survey objects.By investigating the learning attitudes, teaching methods and teaching effects of the history of frontier changes in the Qing Dynasty, and analyzing the survey results,it is found that there are common problems in the teaching of the history of frontier changes in the Qing Dynasty in junior high schools. For teachers, the teaching methods are relatively simple and lack of horizontal comparison of knowledge. For students, the mastery of basic knowledge is insufficient, the ability of historical maps is not strong, and the understanding of family and country feelings is not deep enough. On the basis of arranging the relevant contents of the textbooks and conducting practical investigations, proposing the following teaching strategies: integrating and supplementing the relevant contents in the textbooks;using comparative method to deepen students’ understanding of the changing process of the Qing Dynasty;using interdisciplinary knowledge to strengthen students cultivation of territorial sovereignty consciousness;using a variety of teaching resources, attaching importance to the education of the history of ethnic relations. And the proposed teaching strategy is applied to practice, the teaching design is carried out with the theme of "frontier changes in the Qing Dynasty",and the teaching and reflection are carried out.
