The concept of core literacy comes into being with the development of the education of the times,and the core literacy of subject is a central idea which combines the framework of core literacy and the characteristics of education of various subjects and conforms to the development of current subjects.In this context,China’s new round of school curriculum reform in 2007 to start again.The curriculum standard of Physical Education and health(2017 edition)for senior middle school takes the core literacy of physical education as the leading goal,and emphasizes the cultivation of students’ core literacy of physical education as the starting point and end point of physical education curriculum teaching.Teachers are the main body of responsibility in the practice of curriculum reform.The development and transformation of teachers’ ability is related to the success of curriculum reform.It is of practical significance and value to pay attention to the relationship between physical education teachers and the core literacy of physical education,and to establish the systematic grasp and comprehension of new ideas,methods and knowledge.By collecting and collating the relevant theoretical literature,combining with the current situation of the reform of physical education curriculum and the development of physical education teachers in our country,by means of literature,questionnaire and interview,this paper tries to find out the structure,level characteristics and causes of senior high school PE teachers’ cognition of the core quality of physical education,and according to the above analysis results to give the relevant promotion strategy,the specific results of the study are as follows:(1)The cognition scale of senior middle school physical education teachers to the core literacy of physical education includes three dimensions: cognition of sports ability,cognition of health behavior and cognition of physical education moral character,there are 8 items in the cognitive dimension of sports ability,12 items in the cognitive dimension of health behavior,and 13 items in the cognitive dimension of sports moral character,the scale has a good performance in the measurement of high school physical education teachers’ cognitive level of core literacy of physical education,and it can be used as a measurement tool for related research.(2)The current cognitive level of physical education teachers in China’s general high schools is at the upper middle level,but not yet at the excellent level.In the cognitive level of each dimension physical education character cognition > health behavior cognition > motor ability cognition.(3)There are significant differences in the core literacy of physical education and the cognitive level of various dimensions among senior high school PE teachers in different teaching grades and in different teaching and research activities;There are significant differences in the level of PE teachers with different educational background,the level of PE teachers with different years of teaching experience,the level of PE teachers with different educational background,the level of PE teachers with different educational background,and the level of PE teachers with different educational background there is no significant difference in the cognition of physical education teachers to the core literacy of physical education subject in the demographics variables such as gender,professional title,teaching area,school type,monthly income.(4)Based on the analysis of the cause of formation of PE teachers’ cognitive characteristics of the core literacy of physical education,the paper gives the corresponding promotion strategies:At the national level,we should continue to strengthen the basic guarantee of physical education teachers’ teaching and research training,and empower physical education teachers to develop core literacy of physical education;at the school level,we should open up ways for physical education teachers to develop core literacy of physical education,and follow up to increase the comprehensive evaluation of physical education teachers’ development of core literacy of physical education;at the individual level,we should raise teachers’ awareness of self-development of core literacy of physical education,focus on strengthening their knowledge of physical education demonstration and competition,and focus on improving their knowledge of health behavior.At the personal level,we should raise teachers’ awareness of disciplinary core literacy selfdevelopment,focus on strengthening the cognition of sports display and competition,enhance the teaching cognition of health behaviors,and strengthen the deep cognition of sports character.
