The fine traditional culture of golf has specific educational significance for children.As golf competition returned to be an Olympic event in the 2016 Rio Olympics,and the China Golf Association officially launched the "Campus Golf Development Plan" in 2018,more and more children in China is now taking part in this sport.Golf skills are quite complex,but the current golf teaching methods are relatively simple,which cannot well meet the needs of young students.The programmed teaching method focuses on small-step teaching and emphasizes the feedback and reinforcement during the teaching process.It can better reflect individualized teaching and give full play to the subjective initiative of students.This essay studies the application of programmed teaching method on the golf teaching for children,aiming at exploring whether the programmed teaching method can stimulate the learning enthusiasm of students,strengthen their physical qualities,enhance their skill proficiency,and improve classroom learning effects.This essay applies methods including the literature review method,the expert interview method,the questionnaire method,the teaching experiment method,as well as mathematical statistic method,taking the 30 students from Foshan Shanyuhu Golf Training Center as experimental objects.The study conducts a 16-week teaching experiment on the experimental student group and the control group,who have passed the homogeneity test before the experiment,to ensure that there was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of their physical quality,skill levels,and internal study motivations.The experimental group applies the programmed teaching method,while the control group applies the traditional teaching method.Below is the conclusion of the teaching experiment:1.The teaching effect of programmed teaching method is better than that of traditional teaching method,which is beneficial to the improvement of students’ golf skill level and can play their main role better.2.Through 16 weeks of golf teaching,the strength,flexibility and balance of the two groups of students have been improved,indicating that the physical quality of students will not change significantly due to the changes in teaching methods and methods.3.The programmed teaching method can effectively improve students’ interest,attitude and motivation,enhance students’ participation in class and promote the realization of teaching objectives.Based on the conclusions drawn,corresponding suggestions are made:1.The application of teaching methods should be diversified.Program teaching method has some advantages compared with traditional teaching method,but it still has many deficiencies in the management of classroom order and the degree of students’ participation.In the actual teaching,we should not completely abandon the traditional teaching methods,should be a variety of teaching methods coexist,complementary advantages,a comprehensive use.2.Strengthen the research on the theory and practice of procedure teaching method.The procedure teaching method has certain application value in the golf sports,should continue to strengthen the research and the summary,enriches the children’s golf teaching method.3.When using the programmed teaching method,we should arrange the teaching program on the basis of fully understanding the teaching materials and learning situations,and set the teaching contents and objectives according to the actual conditions of students in the classroom teaching,pay attention to the link of classroom feedback,timely adjust the progress and rhythm of teaching.
