| It is a fine tradition of the Chinese nation to attach importance to teachers’ morality and style,and it is a valuable experience in higher education since the founding of the People’s Republic of China.From the founding of New China to the convening of the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,with the development of the times,the construction of teachers’ morality and professionalism in my country’s colleges and universities can generally be summarized into three development stages: the initial stage,the development stage,and the deepening stage.Summarizing the experience and lessons of the construction of teachers’ morality and professionalism since the founding of New China is of great significance to the current construction of teachers’ morality and professionalism.Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the construction of teachers’ morality in colleges and universities has entered a new period.The Party Central Committee has raised the construction of teachers’ morality and teaching style in colleges and universities to a new height.General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized: "The first criterion for evaluating the quality of teachers should be teachers’ morality and teaching style." With the in-depth development of the construction of teachers’ morality in colleges and universities,remarkable achievements have been made.Its new era connotation has been continuously enriched,its standardization and legalization have been basically realized,and a relatively complete institutional system has been formed.With the advancement of the construction of teachers’ morality and style in colleges and universities in the new era,the majority of teachers can pay attention to the cultivation of teachers’ morality as a whole,be a role model for others,and are generally respected by the public.However,there are still very few problems with teachers’ morality and style: the weakening of political beliefs and the deviation of value orientation at the level of subjective cognition;the negative teaching attitude,etc.These problems urgently need to be reformed.Explore the main reasons behind the problem: the reasons of the social environment,the reasons of the university management and the reasons of the university teachers themselves.The achievements of the construction of teachers’ ethics in the new era and its great effect on the development of higher education have been fully revealed,but there are still many problems in the field of teachers’ ethics in colleges and universities.The construction of professional ethics in colleges and universities is always on the way,which is a systematic project.It is necessary to further strengthen the leadership of the Party in the construction of professional ethics in colleges and universities,promote the construction of professional ethics and ecological environment,further improve the status of teachers,and give full play to the role of excellent traditional culture. |
