Research On Digital Labor Based On Marx’s Labor Theory

Digital technology has drawn a new picture of the development of contemporary capitalism,and the rise of digital labor has become one of the main forms of labor in today’s world economic development.In digital labor,the "curse" that cannot be exorcized by capitalism is increasingly prominent.How to understand digital labor in the era of digital capitalism needs to find the answer from the perspective of Marx’s labor theory.Therefore,Marx’s definition of labor,labor alienation theory,labor value theory and labor liberation theory have become the narrative key of digital labor criticism.As a new form of labor,digital labor can be traced back to the audience commodity theory proposed by Dallas Smytz.At the same time,the issue of "blind spot" was born.The so-called "blind spot" refers to that western Marxism has not paid enough attention to the complex role of communication in capitalism.This issue has aroused fierce discussion among scholars,but also began to rethink the defects of capitalism,and pointed at a new labor paradigm--digital labor.As a new concept,digital labor has not yet had an accurate and comprehensive definition.Communication political economy,autonomism and Fox have defined digital labor from different perspectives.Based on Marx’s labor theory,the thesis defines the concept of digital labor,that is,digital labor is the spiritual and data products created by workers with data as the labor object to meet people’s needs.Digital labor as a new type of labor is in accordance with Marx’s productive labor,as defined in the it comply with the general forms of productive labor and social form,and conform to the definition of productive labor value proliferation dimension,it is also the many users of unpaid work for the digital enterprise accumulated surplus value,realizing digital capital fission.Marx believed that the factory was the main place for workers to work,and now the digital workplace has changed into a digital platform.In the digital platform,algorithm,as the "ghost of the machine",has become an essential existence,which supports the operation and development of the platform and gradually domesticates the workers into the muppets on the assembly line.Technology and capital conspire to rule people by illusion.Digital technology enables people to see a larger and farther world.People’s sense of dependence on network and technology gradually develops into worship,and digital technology begins to perform ideological functions.At the same time,data,as a virtual symbol,has reversed people’s real life.With the support of technology worship,data-centered digital fetishism has been established.Beyond conscious control,capital began to seek other ways to accelerate expansion.The main purpose of capital expansion is to compress space with time and extend people’s working time indefinitely.The invention of the Internet made the factory wall completely disappear,the circulation of goods to achieve "zero" time.Although the digital world is full of lies and deception,there is no denying that digital technology has drawn a beautiful blueprint for the development of the future world.As a result,people are enjoying freedom and convenience brought by digital technology at the same time,also in deep covered with Numbers and the algorithm of the crisis,the subjectivity in the process of digital work face the risk of erosion,the main performance for the reality person data into "codes",work and leisure time crossed,privacy become alien beings,Emotional labor was also brought into the capitalist production order.The basic reason lies in the continuous expansion of digital capital logic and the self-loss of digital labor subject.In order to realize digital liberation and restore the status of digital workers as masters,measures should be put forward from three dimensions: subject,society and future development direction.From the subject dimension,first of all,to promote the digital labor subject to self-construction,to improve the subjectivity of workers;Secondly,digital literacy should be popularized on the basis of clarifying digital identity.From the dimension of social system,it is necessary to clarify the boundary of enterprise behavior and standardize the standard of data use.Improve laws and regulations to break the monopoly of digital platforms;From the perspective of future development,digital government should be built to improve the level of digital public service.Vigorously develop productive forces to eliminate private ownership so as to promote the liberation of digital labor and the free and comprehensive development of human beings.
