"Five educations" means "moral,intellectual,physical,aesthetic and labor".The "Simultaneous Development of Five Educations(SDFE)" conforms to the objective law of educational development and is the main direction of educational reform in China in recent years.Two main reform directions for SDFE are existed.First,teachers are required to highlight the requirements in curriculum planning and design.Happily,typical achievements have emerged.On the other hand,schools are required to fully implement the requirements in other hidden courses other than the curriculum,but less research have been found.Class is the smallest collective in educational activities.As a typical representative of hidden curriculum,class culture should be given full play to its educational function.What is the current situation of class culture? What are the potential improvement paths? The answers to these questions are of great significance to the realization of the goal of educational reform.Taking Z middle school in Shandong Province as an example,the observation method was used and 39 classes were observed.Then,the interview method was emploied to interview 10 excellent head teachers of Z middle school to examined the teachers’ understanding and the current situation of SDFE.Thirdly,the questionnaire method was used to investigate 312 students in Z middle school to systematically understand whether the current class culture met the requirements from the perspective of students.Finally,combined the results and based on the knowledge of class management,we put forward the improvement path of junior middle school class culture from the perspective of SDFE.Overall,the current class culture reflected the requirements of SDFE,and the mainly deficiencies were as following: 1.The material culture of the class was embodied in the SDFE,but "intention" was lacking;2.The spiritual culture of the class contained the meaning of SDFE,but it was not systematic;3.The class system culture exhibition required the SDFE,but it was in vain;4.Class behavior culture lacked the content of SDFE and the understanding of activity significance.Based on the above problems,the suggestions were given: At first,the competent education department should form a correct concept of multiple selection of talents in the "middle school entrance examination" in the society;carry out extensive research and formulate class culture construction policies that meet the requirements of SDFE;effectively improve the supervision quality of the implementation level of school policies.Secondly,schools should pay attention to the construction of campus culture and improve the realization of SDFE in campus culture;improve the quantitative evaluation of classes and increase the quantitative proportion of vulnerable contents of SDFE;strengthen teacher training and improve teachers’ theoretical understanding and policy implementation.Finally,teachers pay more attention to class culture,cultivate teachers’ feelings,strengthen theoretical learning and improve class culture to improve the construction quality of class culture.Based on the requirements of SDFE,the study focused on the development of students,looked for the shortcomings of class culture,and put forward practical promotion strategies.The implementation of the strategies can improve the class teacher’s understanding of the theory of SDFE and class culture construction,improve the construction quality of class culture in the existing class,and promote the development of students.
