In 2021,China has embarked on a new journey to fully build a modern socialist country.To build a new journey,we need to improve the spiritual realm of every member of society,including “special groups” with physical and mental development defects.As General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed,“The Chinese dream is the dream of the nation,the dream of the country,and the dream of every disabled friend.”The education of the young pioneers is an integral part of the socialist education with Chinese characteristics.As an important carrier of the education,the activities of the young pioneers have a profound influence on the ideological construction and spiritual development of special children.Based on the review of relevant literature,this study selected four special education schools in Inner Mongolia as the research subjects and investigated the current situation of their Pioneer Corps activities implementation by means of questionnaires and interviews.The survey content focused on the time,content,resources,and counselor quality of the Pioneer activities.Through the analysis of the survey data,it was found that there are problems in the implementation of the pioneer team activities in special education schools in Inner Mongolia,such as "it is difficult to guarantee the time for pioneer team activities;the content of activities is not completely based on the reality of special children,and the form of activities is single;the resources of pioneer team activities are not effectively developed and utilized;the professionalism of counselors needs to be improved,and there is a lack of parental support".The reasons for the problems are that schools do not pay enough attention to them,counselors are not aware of their roles,resources are not used,professional evaluation and training mechanisms are not complete and parents do not know enough about Pioneer activities.In order to solve the above problems,this study is based on the theory of defect compensation and potential development and Dewey’s activity curriculum theory,and is based on strengthening the Pioneer Corps activities to meet the realistic needs of the times for special education development;optimizing the content and form of special education Pioneer Corps;guaranteeing the basic conditions of Pioneer Corps activities;giving full play to the leading role of counselors in special education Pioneer Corps activities;and joint participation of home,school,and team to form a synergistic education.The team will be able to make full use of the leading role of counselors in special education activities,and home and school teams will participate together to form a synergy of education.
