| Mathematical beauty is a unique aesthetic feature of mathematics,which gives different aesthetic educational value to mathematics teaching.The " Mathematics Curriculum Standard for Compulsory Education " also shows concern to the aesthetic value of mathematics,and sufficient attention is paid to the aesthetic value in mathematics class.Although mathematics is a rigorous and abstract subject,it is not only limited to cultivate students’ logical thinking and abstract thinking,but also to penetrate mathematical beauty to students by its aesthetic nature and promote the development of students’ mathematical aesthetic feeling.Primary school is a critical period and enlightenment stage for students to form aesthetic qualities and healthy personality.Students’ understanding of mathematical beauty in the class will help cultivate a positive attitude towards mathematics,improve aesthetic quality,promote the quality of mathematical thinking and improve their innovative awareness and creativity.Mathematical beauty contained in geometry is the most intuitive and easily perceivable,and it is also one of the most characteristic content in mathematics courses.The course content of "graphics and geometry" contains a lot of examples of symmetrical beauty,harmonious beauty and strange beauty,so it provides rich teaching content of mathematical beauty.However,the primary school teachers do not understand the educational value of mathematical beauty correctly,the frequency of penetration of mathematical beauty is relatively low,and the way of penetration is relatively simple.The current situation of penetrating mathematical beauty in "graphics and geometry" teaching in primary schools is not optimistic.This research starts from the mathematical teaching in primary schools from the dual perspectives of students and teachers,using questionnaire survey and interview survey to investigate the current status of penetrating mathematical beauty in mathematics teaching.The main problems in permeating mathematical beauty in the current mathematics teaching of "graphics and geometry"in primary schools are emphasizing the practical value and ignoring the aesthetic value;emphasizing rational thinking and weakening perceptual experience;emphasizing knowledge using and ignoring active creation.In view of the problems,we think about the reasons of the problems from the perspective of school,classroom and teacher.According to the survey results and the analysis of the causes of the problems,this research provides strategies to improve the teaching of "graphics and geometry" in mathematics to penetrate mathematical beauty: schools should give teachers more right to speak and more teaching autonomy,and enhance teachers’ awareness of aesthetic education in mathematics teaching and improve their ability in aesthetic teaching;create a good aesthetic culture in mathematics class and attach the importance to students’ aesthetic experience,wisdom and emotional interaction in the class.Teachers should improve the aesthetic teaching mode of mathematics class,and focus on the improvement of students’ aesthetic perception,aesthetic appreciation and aesthetic creativity in mathematics classroom. |
