In the era of knowledge economy,the social demand for innovative talents is increasing.As an important way to promote curriculum reform and cultivate innovative talents in developed countries,STEM education and gamification teaching have become a new trend in the field of education research in various countries.At present,there are many research achievements on the application of STEM education and gamification teaching in basic education in China,but there are few researches on information technology courses in junior middle school.Accordingly,the research development of era and the information technology curriculum reform as the background,based on several theories,through the STEM education of junior middle school information technology teaching activities in the concept of the early stage of the design analysis,proposed STEM education concept of junior middle school information technology teaching activity design framework,and using a quasi-experimental study design framework for empirical on teaching activity,The feasibility and effectiveness of the framework are verified.Specifically,it includes the following parts:In the first part,the research foundation and theoretical analysis.By introducing the background of the topic,clarifying the core concepts,based on the theory of situational cognition,Dewey’s "learning from doing",intrinsic motivation theory,activity theory and other theories,this paper uses the literature research method to sort out and analyze the development context of STEM education,information technology education and gamification teaching at home and abroad,summarizes the research status and existing problems in related fields,and provides ideas for research.In the second part,the preliminary analysis of the design of gamification teaching activities of information technology in junior middle schools under the STEM education concept.Firstly,the curriculum standards of information technology in junior high school are deeply interpreted.Secondly,the teaching status quo of information technology in junior high school is investigated.According to the statistics and analysis of survey data,the existing problems in information technology teaching in junior high school are grasped.Finally,the compatibility of STEM education concept and gamification teaching method into junior high school information technology curriculum is analyzed.In the third part,put forward the design framework of information technology gamification teaching activities in junior middle schools under the STEM education concept.In order to improve the teaching effect of junior middle school information technology course,the design principles and implementation strategies of teaching activities are formulated.Based on the analysis of elements of teaching activities,the design framework of gamification teaching activities of information technology in junior middle schools under the STEM education concept is proposed from six activities including setting up situations,presenting objectives,forming groups,making rules,activity implementation and teaching evaluation.In the fourth part,verifies the feasibility and effectiveness of the design framework of information technology gamification teaching activities in junior middle schools under the STEM education concept in teaching practice.By selecting experimental classes at a high school in yan ’an eighth grade with that in comparative classes quasi-experimental research,and at the end of the experiment with scale on a questionnaire,classroom observation,information technology knowledge test,student interview data were analyzed,proved that the application of this activity framework of teaching activities to improve the students’ interdisciplinary thinking,scientific and technological innovation ability and cooperation,improve the teaching effect,It further verifies the feasibility and effectiveness of the teaching activity design framework.The study combined gamification teaching and STEM education,providing a new idea for the research of junior middle school information technology education in the stage of basic education,and proposed the design framework of junior middle school information technology gamification teaching activities under the concept of STEM education,providing reference for the implementation of junior middle school information technology curriculum. |
