Adolescence is a critical period in personal growth,The society,school and family are increasingly recognizing that adolescent mental health plays a decisive role in adolescent growth.Parent-child relationship,as the most basic layer of social relationship,which is the first intimate relationship that people establish in this world,and its harmony is directly related to the establishment of other social relationships of individuals.In family system theory,parent-childtriangulation relationship refers to the emotional attachment form established by three members in a family,including of scapegoat,intergenerational alliance and parentifition.Parent-childtriangulation relationship is an important indicator that affects the standard of individual emotional self-differentiation and also affects the standardl of individual social and psychological adaptability.This study used the questionnaire method.Based on family system theory,this study explores the relationship between parent-childtriangulation relationship and social adaptation in adolescents,as well as the mediating role of self-differentiation between the two,as well as the moderating role of parental relationship.This study used the questionnaire method to measure 830 students from two middle schools in Taiyuan City,Shanxi Province and Mianyang City,Sichuan Province.A total of 767 valid questionnaires were returned.The results of the study are as follows:(1)Self-differentiation and various demographic variables are significant differences in parentifition,total social adaptation scores and each dimension in terms of whether there is a single child;the two factors of scapegoat and cross-generationalcoalition and self-differentiation are significantly different in gender;scapegoat and cross-generationalcoalition,self-differentiation,total scores of social adaptation and each sub-dimension have significant differences in family structure and parental relationship;scapegoating,intergenerational alliance,self-differentiation,and social adaptation have significant differences in the frequency of parental quarrels;There were significant differences in age in scapegoating,parentifition,intergenerational alliance,self-differentiation,and social adaptation.(2)There is a significant positive correlation between scapegoating and social adaptation,and a significant positive correlation between intergenerational alliance,parentifition.There is a significant positive correlation between self-differentiation and social adaptation.(3)Parent-childtriangulation relationship and self-differentiation have significant predictive effects on adolescents’ social adaptation.(4)Self-differentiation as a mesoeric effect between the dimensions of the parent-childtriangulation(scapegoating,intergenerational alliance,and parentifition)and social adaptation.Parental relationships moderate the relationship between scapegoating and parentifition with social adaptation.This research will enrich the empirical research on parent-child relationship,and provide insights into how the family plays a role in the mental health of adolescents,as well as how to create a good family atmosphere,improve the relationship between parents,improve the self-differentiation level of adolescents,and improve the quality of mental health education.some theoretical support.
