With the development of society and the continuous reform of education,students’ mental health has become a hot spot of education and society.Well-being is highly related to mental health.Psychological well-being(PWB),a deeper well-being,is different from subjective well-being that only focuses on happiness and satisfaction.It aims to achieve potential through the pursuit of perfection.High PWB is conducive to the improvement of individual quality of life and the development of psychological potential.Especially for high school students who are in the golden age of life growth and development,having a good psychological state is of great significance for individuals to adapt to the external environment,academic investment and personal growth and development.This study explored the influence mechanism of high school students’ family function on their PWB,and revealed the formation of students’ PWB from the three-dimensional perspective of school,family and self.Through the research on the status quo,characteristics and relationship between family function,self-differentiation,school connectedness and PWB,this paper provided theoretical and practical support for enhancing PWB of high school students,and provided more targeted ideas and reference for school mental health education.In this study,students from a high school in Shandong Province were selected as the research objects,and 972 valid questionnaires were recovered.The family Cohesion and Adaptability Scale(FACES Ⅱ-CV),Differentiation of Self Inventory(DSI),School Connectedness Scale and Psychological Well-being Scale(PWBS)were completed for the investigation,and the data were analyzed by correlation and regression.The results indicated that:(1)The level of family function,self-differentiation,school connectedness and PWB of high school students is generally good.The score of PWB is slightly above the median.(2)There are significant differences in senior high school students’ family function,self-differentiation,school connectedness and PWB in grade,family structure and whether they are class cadres or members of student organizations.(3)There are significant positive correlations among high school students’ family function,self-differentiation,school connectedness and PWB.(4)High school students’ self-differentiation plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between family function and PWB.(5)High school students’ school connectedness plays a partial intermediary role in the relationship between family function and PWB.(6)High school students’ self-differentiation and school connection play a chain mediaying role in the relationship between family function and PWB.Based on the research results,this study proposes corresponding educational strategies to improve the psychological well-being of high school students from the perspectives of family,school,individual and society: create a warm family atmosphere,enhance family adaptability,pay attention to family education and children’s self-development;individuals enhance self-awareness awareness,and actively participate in school activities;the school strengthens home-school cooperation,attaches great importance to the mental health of students and teachers,provides more opportunities for display,and stimulates students ’ potential;strengthens the guidance of a reasonable concept of happiness,and improves the mental health industry.
