Physics is a natural science based on experiments.Junior high school physics is the basic enlightenment course of physical science,and experiment is also an important content,method and means of its subject teaching.Physics experiment operation is the core of physics experiment,which plays an important role in establishing physics concepts,learning physics knowledge and cultivating students’ abilities in various aspects.The physics experiment practical examination is the main way to test the students’ experimental practice ability.The reform of the new curriculum calls for the reform and innovation of the experimental evaluation.Stones from other hills may serve to polish the jade of this one.The British education has a long history,a sound and flexible education system,and its education level is internationally competitive.The British IGCSE exam corresponds to the senior high school entrance examination in my country,and the physics experiment practical test is unique.Therefore,we study the content of the IGCSE physics experiment practical test questions,analyze the rules and characteristics of the questions,and draw lessons from its content and experimental practice ability in a targeted manner.The concept is of great significance to the teaching of physics experiments in junior high schools in my country and the formulation of practical test questions.The purpose of this paper is to study the British IGCSE physics experiment practical test questions,taking the summer experiment practical test papers in the same area from 2011 to 2021 as the research object,starting from the IGCSE physics experiment syllabus,through literature research method,text analysis method and statistical analysis method,in the four aspects of knowledge content,experiment content,experimental practice ability,and scoring standard,analyze the examination characteristics of IGCSE physics experiment practical test questions,and combined with the current situation of the domestic junior high school physics experiment practical examination,it provides reference for the Chinese junior high school physics experiment teaching and the designation of practical test questions.The first chapter is to sort out the research background and related references of the IGCSE physics experiment practical test,based on the theoretical basis,to determine the research content and ideas of the paper,and to define the physical experiment ability and physical experiment practice ability.The second chapter,explains the knowledge content of the IGCSE physics syllabus,sorts out and analyzes the knowledge points involved in the test questions,and summarize the test characteristics of the test questions in the knowledge content.The third chapter,combined with the knowledge content and the key words of the test questions,defines the meaning of the experimental content of the syllabus,and analyzes the characteristics of the experimental content of the test questions according to this definition.The fourth chapter,combined with the domestic research on the structure and elements of experimental practice ability,based on the requirements of the IGCSE physics syllabus for experimental skills,constructs an experimental practice ability analysis framework suitable for the IGCSE physics experiment practical test questions.According to the framework,the scores and proportions of the four major experimental practice abilities in the test questions are statistically analyzed,and the characteristics of each index in the experimental practice ability analysis framework are presented in combination with typical test questions.The fifth chapter,describes the symbols and notations used in the grading scheme,presents and analyzes the grading principles followed by the marking.According to the constructed experimental practice ability analysis framework,summarize the scoring elements and score distribution of each experimental practice ability index,and analyze and summarize the characteristics of the scoring standards of the four major experimental practice abilities in the test questions.The sixth chapter,summarizes the research conclusions,gets enlightenment,and puts forward some suggestions for our country’s experimental teaching and experimental practice test questions.The main conclusions drawn from this research are summarized in the following four aspects:The scope of knowledge content tested by the test questions is narrow,the key points are prominent,and the comprehensive application ability of knowledge points is emphasized,but the connection between test questions and knowledge content is not close;The examination of the experimental content is comprehensive,and the examination methods have their own characteristics,one question comprehensively examines multiple experimental contents;The training focus of each experimental practice ability is different,but related to each other,the test questions have high requirements on the candidates’comprehensive experimental practice ability,and gradually change to the direction of focusing on cultivating the ability of candidates to design experiments independently;The scoring standard focuses on the actual situation of the experimental practice as well as the result scoring,the scoring elements are diverse,highly inclusive,open and flexible,and the scoring points are concise,clear,focused,and have strong operability.
