Research On The Effectiveness Of Social Work In Relieving The Pressure Of Children’s Family Care

With the process of reform and opening up,China’s economy,culture and education have developed rapidly,and families’ demands for children’s education have become increasingly strong.In recent years,in order to meet the needs of parents and solve the problem of "difficult care" of children in summer,in July 2021,the Ministry of Education issued the notice on supporting the exploration of summer trusteeship services,requiring local education authorities to encourage qualified schools The community actively explores and develops student summer trusteeship services.As a public welfare project,community summer trusteeship service has been highly praised by most families for its low or no charge,diverse service content and safe service environment.Based on the above background,this paper takes the summer trusteeship project of X community in Wuhan as a case,and interviews 8 parents,3 children,2 community workers,1 intern,1 volunteer and 1 social work supervisor in the community by using the participatory observation method and interview method in qualitative research.Through the interview,it is learned that most of the children in X community come from dual worker families and migrant workers’ families,Due to the lack of time and methods for family caregivers to provide guidance for their children’s learning,especially the male caregivers’ less participation in the child’s growth process,which not only led to the estrangement of the parent-child relationship,but also had an impact on women’s physiology and psychology.In the process of practice,we will explore the advantages and disadvantages of community care by taking routine activities,characteristic courses and social work professional services as the content,taking children aged 6 to 12 in the community as the service object,and taking community care as a supplementary care method for family care.Through this study,on the one hand,we can summarize the practical work of social work to alleviate the pressure of children’s family care,and promote the combination of relevant theory and practice;On the one hand,it can improve social attention and Research on child care and promote the improvement of children’s well-being.Taking the summer trusteeship project of X community in Wuhan as an example,this paper attempts to answer the following questions:firstly,it analyzes the pressure of family care and its sources;Secondly,based on the perspective of social capital theory,the functions of social work in family care are explored from three aspects:children,family and community;Thirdly,the dysfunction of social workers in the process of relieving the pressure of family care.Combined with the research on the summer trusteeship program,it is found that it promotes children’s academic improvement and quality development;For families,it solves the problems of difficult family care and promoting parent-child communication;For the community,the exchange between residents not only provides a platform for mutual assistance,but also improves community relations,which is conducive to the building of a harmonious community.But at the same time,in view of the above functions,the author also puts forward the problem of social work involved in children’s family care from the opposite side;Finally,based on the deficiencies and challenges faced by social workers when they are involved in children’s family care,this paper puts forward corresponding suggestions and countermeasures,in order to provide reference suggestions for future practical work.
