Western ancient Greek Athens education pays equal attention to "seven arts" in curriculum content,and music courses are generally offered in various schools,and singing teaching is carried out.China’s music education has a long history,especially in Zhou Dynasty,which emphasized the use of music to standardize morality and cultivate sentiment.Moreover,Dessile requires the content of vocal music teaching when training Guozi bachelor.In 1909,music class was formally established in primary and secondary schools all over the country,which was called music and song class.In 1912,the Ministry of Education stipulated that music classes in junior high school should be music and song classes.In 1915,the Ministry of Education made singing one of the eight formal courses.In 1923,the Ministry of Education listed music as a compulsory course in junior high schools,and referred to"singing" and "music songs" in the previous school schedules as music.It can be seen that singing teaching has always been an important part of music education.Therefore,the author chooses singing teaching as the main content of practice.In terms of teaching content,the author chooses four foreign songs based on the basic idea of "understanding the diversity of music culture".In order to explore a more effective way to cultivate junior high school students’ musical ability and improve their musical literacy,the author uses literature method,questionnaire method and interview method,focusing on Gordon’s theory of Audiation and music learning sequence theory to carry out research,and applies this theory to singing teaching practice.First of all,through the in-depth study of Gordon’s music teaching theory,the author discusses the integration,professionalism and feasibility of his theory emphatically;Secondly,the author analyzes the academic situation through interviews and questionnaires on teachers,students and their parents in Y Middle School.According to the students’ learning situation and Gordon’s music teaching theory,the specific design and practice of singing teaching were carried out.After practice,the students are compared before and after practice by questionnaire survey,and the teaching effect is analyzed.It is found that reasonable application of this theory in teaching can effectively improve students’ ability to understand,listen,create and perform music,and reflect on the application of theory,teaching content and teaching process;Finally,according to the practice and reflection,this paper analyzes the advantages and limitations of the theory in singing teaching in China,and puts forward relevant countermeasures and prospects on this basis.The results show that it is feasible and effective to use Gordon’s music teaching theory in junior high school singing teaching.Its advantages lie in:teaching from the perspective of how students learn plays the main role of students;The orderly teaching process provides teachers with a scientific teaching framework;The compatible and open teaching system enriches classroom teaching activities.Through practical research,the author analyzes the advantages and limitations of its application,and puts forward feasible suggestions for the problems and limitations in the implementation,in order to provide some reference for the application of this theory in singing teaching in junior high schools in China in the future.
