In today’s era,carrying forward the red spirit is an inevitable choice for adhering to cultural self-confidence.As an important carrier of revolutionary traditional culture,the "red classic" texts in Chinese language textbooks are of great significance to inheriting the red spirit.Under the background of increasing emphasis on revolutionary traditional education in primary school language unified textbooks,improve the quality of "red classic" text reading and teaching,and let red tinder become the origin of students’ spirit and the fulcrum of their original intentions,which has an important impact on the cultivation of students’ language literacy.At the same time,according to the existing literature,most scholars have focused on the "red classic" teaching research in secondary schools,and have put forward many valuable suggestions for secondary school Language teachers,but there are fewer studies on primary school Language teachers in this regard.Based on this,how should primary school Chinese teachers better teach the reading of "red classic" texts? This is a question worth exploring and studying.This study focused on the reading teaching of "red classic" texts by primary school Chinese teachers through non-participatory classroom observation method,interview method,and case analysis method.First of all,in the primary school Chinese "red classic" textbook reading teaching classroom,from the teacher’s design and completion of reading teaching objectives,the allocation of time in each link of reading teaching,the participation and enthusiasm of students in the classroom and the use of teaching methods,12 primary school Chinese teachers were observed and recorded in the reading teaching of 24 Chinese classrooms,and typical cases were selected for analysis.Secondly,12 primary school Chinese teachers were interviewed according to the interview outline.The results show that in the classroom of primary school Chinese "red classic" text reading teaching,some teachers do not have a clear grasp of the teaching objectives of "red classic" text reading;improper time allocation of each link of reading teaching;lack of certain reading guidance;replace students’ reading experience with personal understanding;focus on language application;and single text.According to the analysis of the causes of the problems,we further put forward suggestions for improving the reading teaching of "red classic" texts,such as improving teachers’ own red cultural literacy;shortening the time and space distance between students and "red classic" texts;basing on language and writing,inheriting the red spirit;changing traditional teaching concepts and adopting a variety of reading methods;and lighting up red passion in both inside and outside the classroom.Research can help primary school Chinese teachers better grasp the reading teaching of "red classic" texts,help primary school students better learn to read articles on related topics,and enrich primary school students’ understanding of the spirit contained in "red classic" texts.
