In the era of rapid development of big data,it is imperative to promote teaching reform with educational informatization.As an emerging technology,Augmented Reality(AR)technology has been widely used in many fields and the new business form of "AR+" came into being completely due to its characteristics of three-dimensional positioning,virtual real combination and real-time interaction.In 2018,the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology proposed to promote "AR+education" as a key industry.Owing to its regional,practical and comprehensive characteristics,geography have more extensive and flexible interaction with AR technology,which could effectively assist the teaching and learning of geography base on the three-dimensional construction,situational experience and interactive operation.The research on the application of AR technology in teaching is still in the initial stage,most of them focus on action research,including teaching organization,implementation and learning effect feedback.In order to adapt to the new characteristics and new situation of the development of basic education in the era of big data,realize the effective integration of AR technology and resources with geography education and teaching,promote personalized geography teaching and scientific evaluation based on AR technology,and better enable the quality of basic geography education,this study sorts out the contents of junior middle school geography suitable for AR teaching,and take the new teaching and review classes as examples to design teaching cases based on the in-depth analysis of AR geography teaching cases and the guidance of educational theories,such as situational theory,experiential learning,and audio-visual teaching.The main research contents and conclusions as follows:Firstly,this paper adopts the observation method and comparative analysis method to study multi-disciplinary teaching cases,and concludes that AR teaching has general laws such as the combination of virtual and real teaching situations,dynamic teaching content,and lightweight teaching equipment.Further select excellent cases of non AR activity class and AR activity class for comparative analysis,It is concluded that geography teaching has unique advantages in exercising students’ operation skills,enhancing the immersion experience and realizing ubiquitous learning.Secondly,using the knowledge analysis method,integrating AR resources and Hunan Education Edition junior high school geography textbooks,and conducting adaptation analysis,it is found that AR technology is widely applicable to course content such as "Earth and Maps","World Geography",and "China Geography".Specifically,Knowledge of geographic location,name,and geographic distribution is suitable for AR interactive operations,and knowledge of geographic process,geographic origin,and geographic law is suitable for AR dynamic demonstration.Furthermore,the principles and strategies of AR teaching design are summarized by using the experience summarization method,and teaching cases of two types of teaching process and new teaching and review courses are designed.Finally,from the teacher level,the resource level,and the management level,suggestions on the promotion and implementation of AR technology in junior high school geography are put forward,in order to provide consultation for the better application of AR technology in geography teaching.
