With the rapid popularization of 5g technology and the advent of the era of artificial intelligence and big data,code programming has gradually entered the public’s vision from a small field.The application of programming software and related technologies has begun to exert a subtle impact on people’s life and work.With the advance of 5g intelligent era and the high requirements of the new curriculum reform on students’ innovative ability and core literacy in talent training,more and more educational researchers begin to explore the programming curriculum design in primary and secondary schools.At present,the standardized programming curriculum in China is only included in the primary and secondary school textbooks as a part of the information technology curriculum,and there is no corresponding programming language learning curriculum.The learning of programming language in junior middle school is mainly based on Python language.At this stage,there are some problems in China’s programming curriculum,such as lack of top-level design norms,lack of innovation in teaching methods,inconsistent teaching contents,vague training objectives,ignoring the cultivation of thinking,etc.as an efficient teaching concept,design thinking can effectively make up for the deficiencies of the current junior middle school programming curriculum in the above aspects.In addition,at present,the application of PBL(Problem-Based-Learning)teaching mode in junior middle school information technology courses is relatively mature.On the basis of this mode,the concept of design thinking can be introduced to optimize the teaching links and ideas based on the existing mode.This study focuses on the development status and existing problems of programming curriculum in junior middle school,and carries out the design and application of PBL teaching mode for the cultivation of design thinking and related research.Firstly,it analyzes the research background and significance,defines the concept of design thinking and PBL teaching mode,and briefly discusses the research significance of this paper.Second,this study combs and summarizes the research status of PBL teaching mode and classical design thinking model at home and abroad through literature review.By comparing the advantages and disadvantages of Stanford EDPIT design thinking model,Stanford K-12 stage design thinking model and IDEO design thinking model,this study optimizes the model based on the problems existing in the current programming course,so as to design the teaching mode.Third,this study refers to the existing curriculum design and resources of the current information technology curriculum in junior middle school,further designs the teaching objectives,teaching process,teaching content and teaching evaluation according to the training requirements of the new curriculum standard for core literacy,and finally designs the curriculum content with the theme of unit 2 "Python language programming" of Volume 4 information technology textbook in junior middle school,After that,the teaching practice was carried out in Jinan Derun junior middle school.Fourth,in the four month teaching process,the author collected the teacher-student questionnaire,classroom teaching process records,students’ test scores,students’ design thinking ability evaluation scale data,programming work evaluation scores,etc.,and evaluated the implementation effect of the teaching design of this study through multi-dimensional data analysis.The results of data analysis show that the students who adopt the PBL teaching mode for the cultivation of design thinking proposed in this thesis have significantly improved the four sub dimensions in the design thinking evaluation scale compared with the students in the control class who adopt the traditional PBL teaching mode,and the students’ cooperative inquiry ability and problem-solving ability have been effectively exercised.Finally,the author summarizes and Prospects on the basis of the implementation of this curriculum design,hoping to provide some reference for the design of junior middle school programming curriculum in the future.
