Computer science has penetrated into every field of society,and every field needs compound talents with computational thinking ability.In order to enable students to master the ability of computational thinking,it is necessary to find more effective teaching mode.6E design learning model,as a design learning model,has obvious features of interdisciplinary,inquiry,comprehensiveness,design and reflection,which is in line with the training requirements of computational thinking ability for basic education students stipulated in the Curriculum Standards of Information Technology for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)formulated by the Ministry of Education in 2022.Under this background,through literature research method,questionnaire survey method,educational experiment method,interview method and other research methods,under the guidance of constructivism learning theory,John Dewey’s "learning by doing" theory and cognitive development stage theory,this study is committed to combining 6E design learning mode with computational thinking,taking Python programming course in junior high school as the basis.It aims at cultivating junior high school students’ ability of calculating thinking.First of all,based on the review of domestic and foreign literature on computational thinking and 6E design-based learning model,this study defines and interprets the concepts of computational thinking and 6E design-based learning model involved in the study,and expounds the theoretical basis;Secondly,this thesis conducts a questionnaire survey on the students in grade two of a middle school in Jinan City,analyzes the current situation,causes and enlightenment of the cultivation of computational thinking from five dimensions of creativity of computational thinking,algorithm-based thinking,cooperative ability,critical thinking and problem solving ability,and analyzes the feasibility of cultivating computational thinking in the 6E design learning mode and the mapping relationship between them.The advantages and disadvantages of the existing classical design learning model are analyzed and selected to provide theoretical support and practical experience for the follow-up research;Thirdly,on this basis,the 6E design-oriented learning model for cultivating computational thinking is constructed.The model focuses on designing the relationship between teacher activities,student activities and cultivating dimensions of computational thinking.The six teaching links are deeply interpreted and specific teaching cases are designed in Python programming teaching based on the 6E design-oriented learning model constructed by the above research;Finally,a one-semester teaching experiment was carried out.Two classes with the same initial level of computational thinking ability were selected as the experimental class and the control class.The experiment was conducted in two classes,and the measurement data such as pre and post measurement data collection,score evaluation of students’ works and teacher interview were analyzed.The research shows that the 6E design learning mode oriented to the training of computational thinking is effective and feasible in the Python programming teaching of junior high school,which can meet the requirements of core literacy teaching objectives in the stage of basic education and improve students’ computational thinking ability.
