Race walking,as an advantageous event in Chinese track and field,has always played an important role in the history of Chinese track and field.As one of the main sources of talents for national race walking team,the training and competition performance,management level and team construction of Yunnan race walking team have an impact on the development of the national race walking.Presently the historical background of building a leading sports nation suggest that,based on the needs of country,Yunnan race walking team,athletes and race walking development,the study on the organizational culture construction of Yunnan race walking team is loaded with representatively theoretical and practical significance.Taking the organizational culture of Yunnan race walking team as the object,the study employs the methods of documentation,content analysis,questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics to theoretically elaborate and empirically explore the relevant experiences and practices of Yunnan race walking team’s organizational culture construction.Firstly,on the basis of on-site interviews,the history of the organizational culture of the Yunnan race walking team and characteristics of each stage are summarized.Secondly,focusing on the related elements of the organizational culture construction,Nvivo 11 software was used to nodes identifying,classifying and refining in the interview contents,then the constructive elements were extracted.Through the questionnaire distribution and collection,25 items were finally determined by factor analysis of the statistical data,which is summarized as follow: individual group elements,national management elements,resource allocation elements,project characteristic elements,communication media elements,and team management elements,to build a basic structure for the subsequent elaboration of the content of the organizational culture construction.Thirdly,according to the extracted core elements of construction,the main content and functions of the organizational culture of the Yunnan Race Walking Team are explained,and the current dilemmas are discussed.The three conclusions are as follow: First,the Yunnan Race Walking Team has built a superior organizational culture system with distinctive characteristics and strong universality in the long-term historical development process.Second,a variety of functions have been formed in the process of organizational culture construction,which needs to be promoted according to the actual conditions.Thirdly,the organizational culture construction of Yunnan race walking team is facing new conflicts and difficulties in the new historical stage.Finally,in order to record and disseminate the organizational culture of excellent sports teams,give full play to the functions of organizational culture,enhance the soft power of sports culture and solve the existing difficulties,some suggestions are put forward: the first is to build an all-media communication pattern to innovate cultural communication approaches.The requirements include building a cultural display platform,creating sports culture media products,and effectively introducing social forces.The second is to mobilize all elements to give full play to organizational functions,including strengthening organizational construction,improving organizational capabilities and expand the degree of openness.The third is to take multiple measures to work out the practical conflicts and dilemmas,including deepening the integration of sports and education,consolidating traditional spiritual power to guide new driving forces,and promoting management model innovation.
