Since 2014,China has entered the "new normal" of economic development.No.1central document and the party’s the fifth Plenary Session of the 19 th CPC Central Committee proposed in 2017 to promote structural reform of the supply side of agriculture and accelerate the construction of a new development pattern perplexing the domestic circulation and promoting the double circulation between China and the world.Among them,expanding domestic demand and increasing the corresponding proportion of consumption in national economic development are the focus and direction of the party and the state.With the continuous advancement of socialist modernization,China’s population age structure is also undergoing major changes.The process of aging and fewer children is gradually deepening,and the proportion of labor force continues to decline.The change of population age structure will deeply affect the cause of consumption.In the context of the new economic normal,studying the urban-rural differences in the impact of population age structure on consumption structure is of great significance for further promoting consumption and stimulating domestic demand,comprehensively promoting rural revitalization,realizing coordinated and sustainable economic and social development in urban and rural areas,and actively coping with population aging and fewer children.From the perspective of population economics,this study arranges the corresponding data such as population age structure and residents’ consumption structure based on cfps2018 database for descriptive statistics and correlation analysis.And reasonably select each index as the corresponding variable to construct the regression model.Through the use of multiple regression analysis,this paper analyzes the impact of China’s population age structure on the consumption structure,and makes a comparative analysis.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)the national residents have a high preference for the spiritual consumption format,and the overall consumption structure is reasonable;(2)The consumption structure of rural population is too single,mainly survival consumption;(3)The supply of rural basic public service resources is insufficient,especially the types of education and medical treatment;(4)The living cost of urban population is too high;(5)The consumption structure of the elderly population is basically dominated by medical and health care consumption,and the consumption of this group is also relatively single.At the same time,this study focuses on stimulating consumption,expanding domestic demand and domestic circulation,and optimizing consumption structure,and puts forward specific measures:first,increase residents’ disposable income as soon as possible and continue to promote consumption upgrading;Second,vigorously develop the silver economy and achieve high-quality development;Third,alleviate the pressure of urban housing and reduce the overall consumption cost;Fourth,comprehensively improve the level of rural basic public services and fully stimulate consumption vitality. |
