Research On Collected Papers In SSCI Higher Education Journals And Selected Topics Of Chinese Scholars In 13th Five-Year Plan

International dialogue in the fields of higher education research is one of the important issues of academic research.Research on the research results of international higher education academic journals represented by SSCI Higher Education is very important.The study of Chinese scholars’ contributions and academic achievements have a certain value,,which is beneficial to grasp the trend of academic frontiers,and help Chinese scholars to get closer in international academic fields.In this study,visualization analysis method,bibliometrics method,literature research method and comparative research method were used to analyze 5680 papers collected in18 SSCI journals during the 13 th Five-Year Plan period(2016-2020)and the content of474 papers published by Chinese scholars.The results show that the United States,The United Kingdom and the Netherlands occupy the publishing rights of core journals in the international field of higher education,and the journals include Internet and Higher Education,Active Learning in Higher Education,International Journal of Educational Technology in Higher Education in the United States and Studies in Higher Education in The United Kingdom are with high impact factors.Britain,the United States,Australia,China and other countries publish more papers in these journals.These academic institutions occupy a certain dominant position in the publication of papers in SSCI higher education journals.Scholars with David Boud and other authors as the center have an important influence and discourse power in the field of international research in higher education.Research hotspots include the related research problems of internal and external factors of college students,students’ views,attitudes and experiences in the process of education,issues related to improving students’ learning quality and higher education quality,and other basic researches.It shows the research trend of scientific positivism.Cited journals with high frequency include Higher Education and Studies in Higher Education,etc.Rethinking Models of Feedback for Learning: The Design of Challenges is written by David Boud and Elizabeth Molloy,and other classic literature are the theoretical basis in this research field.According to the content analysis of 474 papers published by Chinese scholars in2016-2020,this study finds that Chinese scholars mainly focuses on the qualitative research at the micro level and the group level,and scholars have individual differences in the process of topic selection.Four practical inspirations are proposed as follows:Standing at the international forefront and learning various ideas;Broadening the research field and promoting the integration of disciplines;Paying attention to empirical research and using mixed methods;Strengthening academic cooperations and building academic networks.
