The development of ethnic education is of great significance to China’s social development and progress.The literature related to ethnic education is not only an important achievement of the development of ethnic education,but also an important symbol of the current research level in the field of ethnic education.Taking 1751 core papers on Ethnic Education from 2011 to 2020 as the research object,this paper uses the methods of bibliometrics,scientific knowledge atlas and qualitative analysis to understand the research status of ethnic pedagogy in China from the time of issuance,author,organization and document carrier,analyze and summarize the characteristics and problems of the development of ethnic pedagogy in China in recent ten years,so as to provide some reference for the further development of ethnic pedagogy in China.Through the analysis,it is found that in the past ten years,the number of core papers on Ethnic Education in China has increased first and then decreased slowly;The majority of the authors have doctoral degree and professor title;The document issuing institutions are mostly concentrated in cities with high level of economic development or colleges and universities.Among them,the Minzu University of China has always been in the core position,followed by South-Central Minzu University and Southwest University,and the scientific research strength can not be underestimated;In the statistics of the number of articles in periodicals,the number of documents on Ethnic Education published in ethnic education research is far ahead of the other 12periodicals;In the past ten years,the research of ethnic pedagogy has formed different research themes,among which the three themes of ethnic education language and culture,ethnic basic theoretical issues and ethnic education curriculum and teaching have achieved many results;Theoretical analysis,historical literature analysis or statistical data analysis methods are mostly used;In the future,the state should continue to invest in project funds in the field of ethnic education.Researchers with high academic qualifications and professional titles in the field of ethnic education should take the lead in scientific research and development.At the same time,the research on weak topics should be strengthened,and the research methods should pay attention to the combination of quantitative research and qualitative research.The full text is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction,which briefly explains the research background,significance,content and methods.The first chapter is the bibliometric analysis of the core journal papers of China’s ethnic education discipline in recent ten years.The second chapter is the qualitative analysis of the core journal papers of China’s ethnic education discipline in recent ten years.The third chapter summarizes the overall characteristics and shortcomings of the development of China’s ethnic education discipline in recent ten years,and puts forward targeted suggestions on this basis.
