With the presentation of core literacy,the advance of a new round of curriculum reform let unit teaching design gradually become the topic of many researchers.Mathematics is the language that describes patterns,both patterns in nature and patterns invented by the human mind.To be mathematically literate,students must recognize these patterns and realize their diversity,regularity,and interconnectedness.Through its powerful integration and leading function,the mathematics unit teaching design linked with big ideas can help students to gain a thorough understanding of knowledge and grasp the nature of mathematics,so it provides a new angle for training students’ core literacy.This paper focuses on the unit teaching design,takes the holistic view of mathematics as the guide,bases on the big idea,takes the knowledge of integral multiplication and factor decomposition as the case,and provides reference for the teaching practice of front-line teachers.This paper is mainly studied from the following three aspects:1.Cognition and analysis of the mathematics unit teaching design in junior middle school.On the one hand,through reading a lot of literature,the core concepts are defined and the development process of unit teaching design at home and abroad is summed up.On the other hand,by Citespace5.1.R6 software,this paper summarizes the overall situation of the research on mathematical unit teaching design from three aspects: annual literature distribution,keyword co-occurrence analysis and author atlas analysis.2.The systematic summary of junior middle school mathematics unit teaching design.Firstly,the theoretical basis of unit teaching design is expounded from the perspectives of pedagogy and mathematics.Secondly,by means of questionnaire survey and interview,the understanding and practice of current teachers on the unit teaching design based on the holistic view of mathematics are comprehend.Finally,according to relevant literature and survey results,the characteristics,significance,procedures and structure of junior middle school mathematics unit teaching design are systematically summarized.The detailed operation steps and the announcements of each step are given.3.Teaching design case and experimental research.Guided by the process and struct ure of unit teaching design,it is carried out on the chapter of "integral multiplication an d factor decomposition" in junior high school textbooks as a case for reference and impl ementation in the actual classroom.It verifies feasibility and validity of unit teaching des ign from two aspects of test result analysis and error type analysis.By way of the study above,the following proposals are summed up: Teachers should(1)attach importance to the infiltration of unit teaching thought in lesson preparation and practical teaching;(2)improve the awareness of unit integration and reorganization;(3)emphasize the integrity and detectability of unit teaching objectives;(4)The unit teaching design of integral multiplication and factor decomposition can be designed around the big idea of "efficient calculation" and "systematic calculation".The school should(1)establish the unit teaching design collective lesson preparation team led by the backbone teachers;(2)build a teacher exchange platform related to unit teaching design.
