In the recent years,as the Party of China and State Council unveil a series of documents and policies,as well as the General Secretary Xi Jinping speech at the national conference on ideological and political work in colleges and universities,ideological and political education has become the most important task in colleges and universities.The main task of counselors is to carry out ideological and political education of college students.Higher vocational education is an important part of higher education in China,under the background of the rapid development of higher vocational education,more and more higher vocational colleges have emerged,which also provides more educational opportunities for more people.However,students in higher vocational colleges almost have weak theoretical foundation,poor learning ability and learning habits,which brings great pressure and challenge to student management in higher vocational colleges,and this pressure and challenge falls on the shoulders of counselors.However,job burnout generally appears in the team of counselors due to the reasons of ambiguous roles,heavy workload,low social status and low support.This not only affects the mental health of the counselors in higher vocational colleges,but also reduces their work efficiency,which has a serious negative impact on the growth of college students and the overall development of higher vocational colleges.In this paper,through the study of vocational college counselors’ job burnout,on the one hand can deepen the theoretical research of vocational college counselors’ job burnout,on the other hand can prevent and alleviate the vocational college counselors’ job burnout.This paper takes the counselors of higher vocational colleges in Mianyang City,Sichuan Province as the research object,and adopts the methods of literature research,interview and questionnaire survey to investigate the job burnout of counselors in three higher vocational colleges in Mianyang City,especially analyzes the current situation of job burnout of counselors in higher vocational colleges in Mianyang City and puts forward some corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.This paper is divided into seven chapters,the first chapter is the introduction,mainly introduces the background and significance of the topic research status,research actuality,research methods,research innovations and shortcomings The second chapter introduces the theoretical basis and the definition of related concepts.The third chapter introduces the development of higher vocational colleges in Mianyang and the work of counselors and describes the design of the investigation scheme in detail.The fourth chapter analyzes the interview results,and carries out sample data analysis,reliability and validity analysis on the questionnaire survey results and the level of job burnout.The fifth chapter analyzes the main reasons for job burnout of vocational college counselors in Mianyang City based on the correlation of the survey results.The sixth chapter puts forward the corresponding measures and countermeasures according to the causes.The seventh chapter is the summary of this research.This research through consulting a large number of literature interviews,doing interview survey and investigating the present situation and causes of job burnout of 201 counselors in three higher vocational colleges in Mianyang by questionnaire,using the SPSS software to analyze the survey results,concluded that the job burnout of counselors in higher vocational colleges in Mianyang City generally exists,and the job burnout has reached a moderate level.Based on the survey results,summarizing the mainly job burnout causes of vocational college counselors in Mianyang are the following five aspects,respectively are the uneven quality of students,lack of professional identity,unclear job responsibilities,a problem with school system and blurred prospects,lack of professional skills and work skills,and poor mental endurance.The countermeasures and suggestions for these five causes are put forward,respectively are improve and implement relevant policies and optimize social support systems,improve the social status and strengthen media publicity,clear job responsibilities to reduce work pressure,improve the existing system and pay attention to counselor development,strengthen training and study and improve own quality. |
