The rapid development and application of artificial intelligence technology have greatly changed people’s learning,working,and lifestyle.To make students better adapt to the intelligent society,the state has published relevant policies,focusing on the development of artificial intelligence education.As the carrier of artificial intelligence curriculum content,artificial intelligence teaching materials are of great significance to promote the popularization of artificial intelligence education in our country.High school is the foundation stage for the cultivation of high-level intelligent talents.The implementation of artificial intelligence education in high school is of great significance to the output of national artificial intelligence talents.In 2017,"Artificial Intelligence Preliminary" was written into the curriculum standard as an optional compulsory module,which further promoted the establishment of the artificial intelligence curriculum in high schools.However,the current development of high school artificial intelligence teaching materials is relatively lagging,and the content of the current teaching materials mostly focuses on the introduction of artificial intelligence concepts and principles,while ignoring programming teaching,which is not conducive to the cultivation of students’ programming ability.As most of the practical operation links are based on experience,the ability of students to comprehensively use artificial intelligence technology cannot be effectively improved.In addition,the knowledge system of artificial intelligence is complex and difficult to learn,so it is more suitable for learning in a situational and task-oriented way.However,the content organization form of the current artificial intelligence teaching materials is relatively single,which can not help students to reduce the cognitive burden.Therefore,it is a challenge to accelerate the construction of relevant teaching materials and develop highly adaptable artificial intelligence teaching materials in the process of popularization of artificial intelligence education in China.Project-based learning based on constructivism focuses on letting learners settle actual and complex projects,and cultivates learners’ multiple abilities,which is the preferred organizational mode of artificial intelligence teaching.In this study,the concept of project-based learning was integrated into the teaching materials of artificial intelligence.Facing the "Artificial Intelligence Preliminary" module,the teaching material of high school artificial intelligence curriculum based on project-based learning was designed and developed.Through teaching practice,it was verified that the teaching material had strong rationality and applicability,and could effectively cultivate students’ artificial intelligence literacy.The development of this teaching material can,to some extent,make up for the lack of related artificial intelligence teaching materials in high schools and the deficiency of existing artificial intelligence teaching materials,and it is of great significance to cultivate artificial intelligence talents to adapt to the development of intelligent society.The specific contents of this paper are as follows:First,this paper uses the literature research method to sort out and summarize the present status of artificial intelligence curriculum and teaching materials development,and project-based learning research and application,and sorts out the basic theories and related technologies required for teaching materials development,thus to provide an important basis for the research.Second,using the content analysis method,guided by the curriculum standards,this paper analyzes the current artificial intelligence teaching materials from the content structure and style,discover the deficiencies in the present teaching materials,and analyzes the needs of teachers and students for artificial intelligence teaching materials,to provide the basis for the development of teaching materials to meet the needs of users,and improve the scientific rationality and applicability of the teaching materials.Third,make clear the principles of teaching material development and formulate the process of teaching material development.Firstly,the project theme and content framework are determined,and the three-level project-based learning structure of "project task activity" is used as the content arrangement mode,and the diversified content presentation forms are adopted to complete the content structure design.Secondly,according to the teaching process and project logic,the teaching material style is designed from two aspects of chapter and section.Thirdly,the teaching material system is designed from two aspects of teaching resources and learning resources.Finally,according to the preliminary design to implement a comprehensive and detailed compilation of teaching materials.Fourth,carry out the trial work of teaching materials.This paper analyzes the implementation effect of teaching materials from students’ survey feedback data,learning outcomes,and teachers’ feedback to verify the applicability of teaching materials and the effectiveness of developing learners’ artificial intelligence literacy.
