Students’ competence in scientific argumentation has been paid much attention in the field of educational research at home and abroad,and is an important component in the core literacy framework of countries,regions and organizations all over the world.On a global scale,governments and academia also pay special attention to the competence in scientific argumentation.China’s newly promulgated general high school curriculum standards have also given great attention to the students’competence in scientific argumentation,high school physics,mathematics,biology and other disciplines have it as the core quality of the composition of the subject.In the existing research,the research results of the evaluation of students’ competence in scientific argumentation are very rich in foreign countries,and the evaluation methods and evaluation standards are diverse.However,the research on the evaluation of students’ competence in scientific argumentation is lacking in China,and the research on the evaluation of students’competence in scientific argumentation in the background of high school biology is basically not.Therefore,the purpose of this study is to comb,analyze and learn from the relevant research on the evaluation of students’ competence in scientific argumentation at home and abroad,combine the core literacy of biology disciplines,construct the framework for the evaluation of high school students’ competence in scientific argumentation,and formulate the evaluation criteria for the evaluation of high school students’competence in scientific argumentation,so as to develop evaluation test questions applicable to the evaluation of high school students’ competence in scientific argumentation,and complement the research short board.This study can be divided into three parts,the theoretical analysis,the empirical research and the analysis discussion and future prospects.The theoretical analysis includes the combing and analysis of the current situation of students’ competence in scientific argumentation evaluation at home and abroad,the definition of the concept of competence in biological scientific argumentation,the construction of the framework for the evaluation of high school students’ competence in biological scientific argumentation,and the evaluation criteria of high school students’competence in biological scientific argumentation.First of all,the relevant research on the evaluation of the competence in biological scientific argumentation at home and abroad is reviewed in literature,the specific problems and ideas to be studied are clarified,the core literacy of the competence in biological scientific argumentation is defined in combination with literature review and the core quality of biology disciplines,the framework for evaluating the competence in biological scientific argumentation of high school students’ biology is constructed,and the evaluation criteria of high school students’ the competence in biological scientific argumentation are formulated.Empirical research includes the design and development of high school students’ the competence in biological scientific argumentation assessment questions,examination and testing based on expert opinion,analysis of test results,and re-modification and improvement of test questions.First of all,according to the above evaluation framework,the curriculum standards of biology and the general high school biology textbooks to prepare the argumentation assessment for high school students’ competence in biological scientific argumentation.Then,by the biology first-line teachers and other experts to review,according to expert advice to modify the test questions,and then the test questions in a high school test,the use of Rasch model test,and finally combined with the Rasch test analysis results and student interviews to modify,optimize the test questions,got a good quality high school students’ the competence in biological scientific argumentation assessment questions.The analysis,discussion and future outlook part summarizes the key contents in the development process of the high school students’ the competence in biological scientific argumentation evaluation questions,and gives the future actionable suggestions in the research outlook part to carry out the evaluation research of the competence in biological scientific argumentation in the future.
