Ordinary High School Biology Curriculum Standard(2017 edition)(hereafter referred to as Curriculum Standard)was issued at Beijing in January 2018,putting forward the curriculum percept of "academic evaluation promoting development" and making a detailed partition for academic quality of students.This is the first time for China to bring education evaluation into biology curriculum standard,marking that education evaluation is no longer guided lonely by examination syllabus.The reform of education evaluation guided by Curriculum Standard is coming in the future.Test questions,as the most basic tools for education evaluation,is a ruler in this process.Therefore the reform of evaluation should be studied from the aspect of test questions.With a long history,The National Assessment of Educational Progress(NAEP)is an authoritative system for evaluation in the United States.Through the analysis the NAEP 12th-grade biology test questions,this paper concluded the characteristics of the test questions.At the same time,the paper obtained the enlightenment to guide the proposition for setting for test questions,ordered twelve high school biology test questions,and identified the quality of the test questions using Rasch model,hoping to provide some reference for the test questions after the issuing of the new curriculum standard.The NAEP evaluation system and the research status were analyzed by using the literature research method.The researches were done in three parts,namely,the NAEP evaluation,the NAEP evaluation system and NAEP biology test questions.In view of the shortcomings of the research,this paper proposed the research purpose and significance,and determined the research contents and methods.This study researched three dimensions of the type of question,the context of the test questions,and the questions-proposing way of NAEP test questions.Through the analysis of specific test cases,NAEP test characteristics were concluded.According to the purpose of the test,the NAEP test questions are reasonably designed with the combination with the characteristics of the question;the context of test question is designed in the ways of the history of science,scientific experiments,production and living practices and life plhenomenon.With the characters as their main contents,the test questions are designed combined with the diagrams,tables,and symbols.By using different means of question-proposing,the openness and conscientiousness of test questions are ensured.According to the characteristics of the above NAEP test questions,with the contents and the level of academic quality of "ordinary high school biology curriculum standards(2017 edition)"as the basis to select some parts of high school biology curriculum as test items,twelve high school biology test questions are ordered.Meanwhile,the test outcomes under the guiding of Rasch model are analyzed.The author found that the overall test and the Rasch model fit well,with slightly low difficulty,and has revised the test questions according to the outcomes.Through the above-analysis,the biological test questions in the scientific assessment of NAEP in the United States have certain significance in the process of setting for test question in China,which is a professional activity and requires continuous thinking and efforts during working hours.
