Research On The Correlation Between The Relative Age Effect Of Football Players And Their Value

The value of football players is affected by many factors.The research on the relative age effect and the value of football players has shown different content.Using a digital model to explore the correlation between the relative age effect and the value of players in the national men’s youth football team is a supplement to related research fields.This article uses multi-factor regression simulation analysis method,comparative analysis method,expert interview method and literature data method.Through the quantitative analysis of the correlation between the relative age effect of 39 national men’s youth football teams and their worth to judge whether the relative age effect can be one of the reference standards for worth.The independent variables are the player’s height,age,national GDP per capita corresponding to nationality,the corresponding coefficient of the relative age effect,and the number of entries in the international A-level competition,and the dependent variable is the player’s worth.Following results and conclusions are here.Research result:(1)The average age of these 900 youth team players is 21.38 years old,the average coefficient corresponding to nationality is 0.3002,the average height is 1.81 meters,the average net worth is 1,881,294.44,the average relative age effect index is 0.3960,and the average number of international competitions.Is 4.0 times.(2)At the 5%significance level,the regression coefficient of the relative age effect is-0.007,the standard deviation of the estimated value is 0.013,the P value is 0.59,P>0.05;the regression coefficient of the number of international A-level competitions is 0.213,The standard deviation of the estimated value is 0.03,the P value is 0.001,P<0.05;the regression coefficient of nationality is 0.016,the standard deviation of the estimated value is 0.014,the P value is 0.26,P>0.05;the regression coefficient of age is-0.122,estimated The standard deviation of the value is 0.029,the P value is 0.001,P<0.05;the regression coefficient of the height is-0.026,the standard deviation of the estimated value is 0.024,the P value is 0.28,P>0.05.Analysis conclusion:(1)Conclusion of the target variable:The corresponding value of the relative age effect is the smallest compared to the other independent variables listed in the sample in this article.The small value of the corresponding coefficient indicates that this variable has a very small impact on the price.At the same time,the average value of the relative age effect of the sample is small.The number of players with earlier birth dates is relatively large.This variable is negatively correlated with players’ worth.The coefficient value is not statistically significant.The relative age effect is not an important factor in determining worth,and can only be used as an indirect reference for judging worth.(2)Conclusion of other variables:The number of entries in international A-level events is positively correlated and significant with net worth,with the largest correlation coefficient.Nationality and wealth are positively correlated,but this is not significant.Age and player worth are negatively correlated and significant.Height is negatively correlated with value,but it is not a determinant of value.
